Regular readers will know that I am a huge Jo Malone fan and have quite the little collection going on but sadly one scent I can not get on board with is Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin Cologne. On paper it should be right up my street - fruity and fresh, easy to wear and perfect for everyday use and yet I am not a fan.
"Our signature fragrance. Peppery basil and aromatic white thyme bring an unexpected twist to the scent of limes on a Caribbean breeze. A modern classic."
First of all let me state that fragrance is completely subjective, what one person loves another will loathe and of course scents do smell different on each person. On me Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin Cologne smells like dish soap yet on others it is a bright yet gentle citrus scent and one I have often noticed on others and commented on how beautiful it smells. I may not like Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin Cologne on it's own but layered with other Jo Malone colognes it is rather magical. Personally I rather like combining it with Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne as it gives a slightly, softer more day appropriate (if there is such a thing) and oddly helps prolong wear. Another rather lovely combination, if I do say so myself if Jo Malone Bluebell Cologne and Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin Cologne - fresh, fruity and again rather long wearing.
Do you have any Jo Malone fragrance combinations?
I love the Peony and Blush Suede scent! It's my favourite! :)

My favourite is Nutmeg and Ginger, its really spicey and warm, I blend it with Pomegranate Noir and it adds a slight floral note which makes it more of a daytime perfume - really beautiful!
