Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry Styling Range

Three new Bumble and Bumble products have just landed, all of which have been specifically formulated to ensure you get the best blow dry results at home with various hair types in mind. Obviously I couldn't try out all three so I roped in some family members to give a full run down of each new Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry balms:

Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry (£12-£23) - This is the original launch from the line and has been around for quite some time. Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry has been created for thick, coarse, curly and generally unruly hair. Guess who slots rather comfortably into this category? Me, of course. I will start by saying that the balm is light weight so a little is all you really need and it should only be applied to the mid lengths of damp hair down to the tips. It smells great but if you over apply you will end up with lank and somewhat greasy hair - you have been warned. As the names suggests Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry has been created to use in conjunction with heat and has in-built heat protectant so there is no need for a separate product. I found that by using the Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry my blow dry time was greatly reduced, my wavy/curly hair was easier to dry into a straight style, there was less frizz and generally speaking it looked much sleeker and soft to the touch. I would only recommend this cream formula to those with thick hair, if you have anything less it will weigh the hair down.

Bumble and Bumble All Style Blow Dry (£12-£23) - In my opinion this is the most innovative of the bunch, not only does it help fine/flat hair to dry with ease into a sleek, polished look as well as protecting against heat but it contains micro pigments to soak up excess oil. Think of it as a wonder product - a styling balm, heat protectant and dry shampoo all rolled into one. Unlike the above product this is safe to use on the roots and has a light, almost gel like texture. I passed this one on to my youngest sister to give a whirl and she was suitably impressed. In her notes she has told me that her dry ends felt softer to the touch and a sight better to look at, her hair felt fresher for longer and wasn't as prone to static. I'd say that is high praise indeed coming for a girl who never uses any styling product what so ever.

Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry (£12-£23) - This is the more conditioning version of Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry. It does exactly the same thing only it contains a repairing serum to seal split ends, protect against future damage and of course heat. This has a lighter consistency which dry hair will lap up. This is great for colour treated, bleached or damaged hair as it helps to repair the hair as well as allowing you to achieve a flawless blow dry. My Mother was the tester of this product and as someone who washes and straightens her hair daily, the Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry has allowed her to wean herself out of such habit. This styling product prolongs the wear of the blow dry and controls even the frizziest of hair. If it can tame my Mothers mop I have every faith in it.

You can only purchase the latter two Bumble and Bumble products directly from Bumble and Bumble until the 21st of January when they go on general release.
