A good while ago I spoke about Demeter Fragrances and how I wished that they would come to the UK. Well it seems my wish has indeed been granted! Within the UK the fragrance collection is called The Library of Fragrance and is currently available in Boots with 28 different scents to choose from. If you don't already know essentially The Library of Fragrance dabbles in niche scents such as Sex on the Beach (the cocktail, not the act you filthy animal), soap, clean skin and more. I was kindly sent three Autumn/Winter ready scents to try out...
The Library of Fragrance Snow £15 via Boots - I know, I know it is only the 1st of October but lets face it sooner or later there will be snow. "Remember what newly fallen snow smells like? Or a fresh snowball? Our Snow fragrance is it!". This is a light and dare I say it almost floral scent, it is fresh and cooling and totally unlike anything else out there. Does it really smell of snow? I don't think so but it does capture the cool and serene vibe of a fresh blanket of snow. Out of the three bottles I was sent this is the fragrance I would most likely layer with others as it adds a certain delicate and mild touch to anything it is mixed with. Typically speaking if you enjoy "clean" fragrances I have no doubt that you will want to add this to your collection.
The Library of Fragrance Gingerbread £15 via Boots - Fun fact I don't at all like Gingerbread and yet I rather like this fragrance, I'd go as far as saying it is my favourite of all three! "Our Gingerbread fragrance is a rich, spicy ginger scent, extremely warm and sexy." I have to agree fully, I can also detect a slightly sweet vanilla note that reminds me a little of Yankee's Vanilla Cupcake. Sweet, spicy and very more-ish!
Who said fragrance can't be fun?

I keep looking at all these scents in Boots but I haven't smelt Gingerbread or Fireplace yet - they sound interesting.

These scents are amazing, me & my daughter spent 15 minutes in Boots the other day sniffing them all. My favourites are Patchouli & Gin & Tonic!
ReplyDeleteI was sent the Snow scent to review and I found it very fresh and 'outdoorsy' - I think it would work, like you say, layered over other scents. I love the sound of the Gingerbread scent, I'm all for that sort of smell in the cooler months x
