The balm itself is thick, non-scented, quite oily in texture yet it has no scent not to mention it is completely 100% natural and hypo-allergenic, free from parabens and approved by Ecocert France. It is safe to use on all the family (from the youngest to the oldest member) as it is constructed from medical grade Lanolin. On the lips it feels completely natural albeit a little oily but nothing worse than a lip gloss or a soft lip balm, it soothed and almost immediately softened my dry lips complete with a lovely glossy finish.
