Normally when I think of Superdrug and face masks those little sachets pop into my mind, which I am not a huge fan of in all honesty. Not so long ago I was browsing the aisles of my local Superdrug and stumbled across tubes of face mask which were well priced and claimed to help various skin ailments. At just £2.59 a tube I ended up snapping two to try out...
Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask
I love a good mud mask, something to not only soak up excess oil but also deeply cleanse and Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask does just that. It gently removes any trapped oil or dirt leaving my pores looking not only clearer but also temporarily smaller. The bonus of a mask of this type is that they naturally dry up blemishes, helping them heal and clear quicker. I wouldn't say this dries out my skin as such but it does help to keep my excess oil levels balanced to a degree. If you have dry skin I would say skip this particular mask and go for something more hydrating. As this contains Aloe Vera it is both cooling and calming amongst all the benefits. I always find that mud masks leave my skin looking brighter, plump and refreshed and do treat myself to at least one application a week. For change of £3 this is a great little addition to any bathroom shelf!
I'd really like to try the hydrating one, especially for such a low price. I usually use masks that come in packets, but I find them really annoying because there's way too much product in them, and they're too messy to use more than once, so you end up wasting a lot of product. May switch to tubes instead :)

The hydrating one sounds really great for the price. I'm going on a long haul plane journey soon and I think this will be great to pop on so my skin doesn't dry out! xx

They sounds like lovely masks and for such a great price! Most face masks out on the market are so ridiculously expensive, and usually do the same job as much cheaper masks! Would definitely like to give these a try! xx

I have the Dead Sea Purifying Clay mask from Superdrug and I used it several times and loved it and then last time I used it I reacted so badly to it, I was devastated!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely be careful with that one with sensitive skin, but I am pretty tempted to try out these two, it sounds like the Aloe Vera one is similar but more gentle, perfect :)

I've just bought my second tube of the hydrating mask, I love that they're in tubes so you can get every last bit out and they're great for popping on your skin when it needs an extra boost of moisture.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've done a face mask since I was like 14 and they were all the rage haha. The Vitamin E one sounds good for my skin!

I gave the mud mask a try a couple of days ago, I don't know whether it's the alcohol in it or something else, but it burned like crazy and my skin was peeling :/ Definitely not for sensitive skins, no matter how oily! The aloe vera one sounds good, though
ReplyDeleteoo i think i will defiantly try out the moisture mask ! do you think you can sleep in this as well then?
