The Daily Beauty Report (05.08.14)

Here is what is happening in the beauty world as we speak...

Rihanna will front MAC Viva Glam once again - it will be available within the UK this coming September. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against Rihanna but I'm a little bored of seeing the same names fronting the MAC Viva Glam campaign. The shade MAC RiRi Glam 2 is deep, almost olive toned shimmering gold nude that won't suit everyone but it makes a nice change from red! I'm willing to bet come 2016 Kelly and Sharon Osbourne will be the faces of MAC Viva Glam. I will buy the lipstick regardless of who fronts it as I think it is a very worthy cause but yeah c'mon MAC shake it up a little!

Having seen all of this person, trust me when I say you need it. Best start bribing Santa now! "Charlotte Tilbury has announced the launch of her 2014 Christmas gifting range. New First-To-Market Genius Talking Gift Box combines the old-fashioned stye Ballerina jewellery box with the technological ease of an iPad, enabling users to watch, learn and apply make-up by opening the lid, where Charlotte also shares her secrets. The talking video box contains the limited edition Luxury Palette in Fallen Angel, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Confession, Lip Lustre in L.S.D, Cheek to Chic in Sex on Fire, Rock N Kohl in Bedroom Black, Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk and Full Fat Lashes. Gift A Look In A Box is a gift that features one of Charlotte's iconic 10 signature looks in a pre-packaged gift box, complete with make-up bag. Stocking Thrillers provide a range of gifts ideal for the stocking, including new Lipstick Charms, mini K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipsticks available in three shades: So Marilyn, Penelope Pink and Bitch Perfect; new Winter-Design Make-Up Bag, like the original it is covered in secret celebrity kisses, but now available in a rose gold shade; and Create-Your-Own Gift, which allows customers to choose from a variety of Christmas gift box options, from the mini Takeaway pouches to small or large boxes, then hand-pick make-up gifts in a pick 'n' mix style. "

Argh I can't wait, my girl crush and my favourite nail polish brand (and formula) combine worlds this coming September "Nail brand Nails inc has announced the launch of eight new Gel Effect polishes, available in colours created to complement trends for this season. The Gel Effect formulation uses a unique plasticiser and triple polymer technology to create a plumped, high shine finish with no need for UV or soak off. Shades include: Hyde Park Place (pale grey), Old Bond Street (deep violet) West End (tomato), Grosvenor gardens (aubergine), New Oxford St (mauve), Uptown (winter pink), Old Burlington St (navy) and Beaufort St (deep raspberry)."

Drew Barrymore is set to launch three fragrances: Cherished (reflects the freshness of morning), Radiant (the warmth/brightness of afternoon) and Sultry (the magic/romance of the evening).
"This collection of [Flower] fragrances is actually about a story and has an emotional association. The story really is about a woman who is multifaceted," she says of the perfumes, which are supposed to embody feelings associated with different times of the day, based on the notes used specifically for each scent." - Drew Barrymore

Roll on Autumn! "Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has announced the launch of Unknown Pleasures, a new make-up collection for AW14. Inspired by the runways of New York Fashion Week, the new range comprises six Lip Tars, six Nail Lacquers and two Cosmetic Colour Pencils. New shades of Lip Tar include Lament (neutral rose beige, matte), Covet (golden buff neutral, matte), Manhunter (red/orange with golden shimmer, metallic), Pagen (blackened purple, matte), Technopagan (blackened purple with blue pearl, metallic) and Vain (dark indigo, matte). Nail Lacquer is available in Dangerous (true grey), Covet (golden buff neutral), Poison (shimmer ivy green), Distortion (shimmering navy), Pagan (blackened purple) and Technopagan (blackened purple with blue pearl). Cosmetic Colour Pencil offers two shades including Sebastian (plum toned taupe) and Lydia (dark plum)."

Lastly Lush now have a stand alone fragrance store, I was lucky enough to visit the pop up store and can honestly say fragrance fans are in for a treat. "LUSH have opened their début Gorilla Perfume shop, located at 3 Camden Passage, Islington, London. Stocking only fragrance with over 35 scents from the Volume 1, 2 and 3 collections and B-Sides, another fine fragrance collection of old favourites, the new stand-alone store has a retro listening booth and record player located in the shop, playing vinyls that inspired many of the scents. The store offers customers individual perfume consultancies and alongside the fragrances, sells books, posts and artwork by artists including Steve Krakow of Plastic Crimewave and English avant pop artist Alexander Tucker."

Have a lovely evening everyone.
