At the moment I am sick with some kind of summer cold, my voice has gone and my temperature is up and down. As you can imagine I do paint a striking figure in my dressing gown, complete with red nose. Sexy. It goes without saying I am currently feeling crap but one product I have taken pleasure in using is Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask is a light, cooling gel mask that has been formulated to cool, and give dull, tired skin an extra boost before facing the day ahead. Oddly it doesn't have the typical GinZing fragrance (citrus/orange) but rather the Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask has a fresh, almost floral scent - it is very, very mild which is what I like in a skin care product. It is just as pleasant if not more to my tatse than the original GinZing fragrance truth be told. Enough about scents, Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask contains Coffee Beans to energize, Cucumber to refresh and Hoelen Mushroom to soothe.
On the skin this is very cooling - there is no need to keep it in the fridge as it always delivers an icy cool sensation on the skin. I believe the idea is that you apply this mask in the morning to revitalise and wake up the complexion for the day ahead. If you are looking for a face mask to restore dry skin this is not the one - don't get me wrong it does hydrate but not on an intense level. Rather Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask powers lie in giving the skin a fresh, almost post facial glow with soothing and cooling properties. You simply apply in a thin layer, leave for 10 minutes and tissue off any excess. It isn't oily in any shape or form and my skin does tend to lap it up so there isn't much product to remove once the 10 minutes have passed. Afterwards my skin has a light glow, feels plump and dare I say it revitalised and ready for the day ahead (gah what a cliché!). If like myself everyday is a make-up day let me be the one to tell you that the Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask does not comprise any product applied on top be it creams, foundations or powders - it is all good.
If ever a face mask was created for the Summer months it is this. It cools and calms and also perks up tired complexions. What is not to love?
You can find it here for £23/100ml - link.

This looks great, although I've heard mixed reviews about the moisturiser, the face mask sounds so nice xxx

I think that Origins products are great although I haven't tried any. They're quite expensive but everyone seems to love them... Maybe I should give them a go :)

I have an awful cold at the moment too - I'm blaming the sudden change in the Glasgow weather - so I can totally sympathise with the lovely red nose! I love the GinZing moisturiser and would love to give this a go, but find it a bit weird that it doesn't have the same scent despite being in the same range... Weird! x

I'm putting the blame on the weather too! So annoying, I hope you feel better soon! Yes it is a little weird but I think if you applied this, then the other products you'd be all orange-d out haha! x
DeleteI've not really tried brightening masks but this one sounds lovely before an event maybe for an added glow

DeleteThis sounds like a perfect way to start off an early day! What other masks do you recommend?
ReplyDeleteHello Song
Couldn't put it better :) what skin type or skin concerns do you have?
DeleteOily to combination, though it does tend to get dry in the winter..
DeleteThis product sounds nice :) It reminds me a bit of the Fab Pore by Soap and Glory, in the way that it is really cooling, although this one has more natural ingredients :)

I love the GinZing range and use their moisturizer and day cream on a daily basis but then was rather let down by the morning scrub they brought out recently. But after reading so many good things about this I might have to give it a go and restore my faith in Origins :)
ReplyDeleteGreat review!
