Clinique Happy Eau de Parfum

Let's take a stroll down memory lane.
Clinique Happy Eau de Parfum launched way back in 1997, I was far too young to be wearing perfume and don't have any memories of the scent until I hit about 16. It was around then it was in every magazine that myself and friends would gather around in our lunch break. I decided I simply had to have it, saved up my wages and went to the House of Fraser ready to become a sophisticated lady just like the glossy's portrayed. Only one problem I hated it.

Until a few nights ago I can hand on heart say that other than Clinique Happy in Bloom (which I utterly adore), I had not been near Clinique Happy since that fateful day. Dramatic huh! On Wednesday night at an event I re-discovered the fragrance and now totally understand the hype and why it has been around for nearly twenty years and continues to be a best seller.

Clinique Happy is a little citrus, a little floral (a little country, a little rock n roll? No?). It has been created to uplift and bring joy and has been based on the vibrancy of a fresh, sunny morning. Essentially wear Clinique Happy and you too shall be happy. It sounds crazy but it is pretty true, you can't help but feel a little more upbeat after a spritz of this light, sun soaked fragrance. Notes include apple, plum and bergamot combined with freesia, lily, rose and orchid. I urge you to revisit this fragrance if like myself you weren't initially a fan. It is really easy to wear and reminds me a little of freshly washed linen on a sunny day.

I guess with age your scent choices change?
