This weeks favourite products have a some what reoccurring theme - they are all hard working, easy to use and long wearing. Convenient in other words...
My go to eye products of late include a quick slick of Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze (find it here - link). A quick slick of this over my eye lids and worked into the lower lash line brightens my eyes and although minimal I feel it gives a somewhat polished look. I like to team this with the smallest of cat flicks to pull the whole look together, at the moment I am using Bourjois Mega Liner (find it here - link) which I am slowly but surely learning to love it. I like to finish off with a good few coats of L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes (find it here - link), it doesn't clump and you can decide wither you want your lashes to look natural (one or two coats) or really go to town with a good few coats for full on lashes. I am a huge fan!
My eyebrows were recently tinted, never again - they are too dark for my face and as a result all my blonde eye brow products now apply deeper due the darker base colour of my brows. One product that doesn't currently look too harsh is my trusty tube of Maybelilne Brow Drama Brow Gel. I rather like that I can quickly slick this on my brows to groom them into shape, not to mention it stays in place all day. If I had to pick one brow gel to repurchase for the rest of life it would be this. It honestly is one of the best and not at all pricey (find it here - link)!
I only have one cheek product this week and the honours go to Clinique Cheek Pop in Plump Pop. This bright pink looks soft on the skin yet really brightens my complexion. The formulation is great - a gel like cream blush that settles to a soft matte powder finish. The Clinique Cheek Pop wear so well even on my oily skin and who can say no to a blush as cute as this? Gel nail polish is certainly having a moment but truth be told not many brands live up to the hype, so far the best has to be Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish. It is beyond glossy, doesn't chip or lift as quickly as other polishes do and the colour range is divine. My personal favourite has to be Nails Inc Kensington Passage - a bright but easy to wear coral. I have had it on my digits all week long and may go for a repeat performance this week (find it here - link)! I hate waiting on nail polish to dry so I have been relying on Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops, I really didn't think they would work but they do! Simply dispense a droplet over the wet nail polish and bam it is dry in an instant (find it here - link)!
I couldn't have a favourites type post and not give a shout out (ha!) to Hay Max, this little balm has really helped when it comes to pollen irritating my nose and causing me to sneeze. I simply dab a little at either side of my nostrils and find that I hardly ever sneeze or experience an itchy nose when this is in play. If you have hay fever I really recommend giving this a go (find it here - link).
What have you been enjoying?
I have never heard of Hay Max... I now need this in my life, stat! Sounds amazing and I suffer from hay fever and uncontrollable sneezing, so yes - I need this. It's too bad that the eyebrow tint didn't work out for you - I'm not entirely sure how they work, but you could try using some lemon juice to lighten them a bit. Great post - I too love this nail formula.
