Weekly Favourites #35

Gosh what a horrific day weather wise - it is so wet in Glasgow that my back garden has began to flood!
Also and rather oddly when it rains heavily my internet doesn't always work which is bizarre so posts may or may not go live today. Any way while I have some connection let me share my weekly favourites...

It has been all about creating the perfect base this week which features a trio of products, first up we have Clinique City Block which is a light and somewhat tinted facial SPF. Although Glasgow doesn't see much sun I do live in a polluted city and like to protect my skin to the best of my ability. I'm not sure that this will replace my beloved Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Defense SPF but I do like this, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and doesn't interfere with any product worn on top of it. You can find it here for £17 via John Lewis - link.

All last week I wore NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser which is basically the tinted moisturise that dreams are made of - it covers so well yet is beyond comfortable to wear. I was a little saddened on Friday when I ran out of my current base of choice that I pretty much ran into my nearest Space.NK and snapped up another tube. Dedication. If you are looking for medium yet natural coverage and want to give your skin a much needed moisture boost you simply must try this out. You can find it here via Space.NK for £29 - link.

By accident (okay I found it hidden in an unloved handbag) I rediscovered Benefit Fake Up Concealer which is working wonders on my currently dehydrated skin. My under eyes circles are pretty deep in colour and the skin is a little dry to boot so this hydrating concealer has quickly become a must have. Yes you do have to set it rather carefully to prevent it from gathering in creases but it is so hydrating that I don't really mind. Find it here via Boots - link.

Creating a perfect base is pretty fruitless if the skin underneath is not well taken care of, at the moment my skin is both dull and as mentioned above dehydrated. To slough off any dry areas I have been gently applying Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser which seems to be creating softer and brighter skin. It doesn't hurt that it smells amazing! It is currently exclusive to Selfridges online - link but should now be on counters nationwide.

Ignoring the miserable weather is a little easier when you have bright nails and my love for bright green hues continues. I mean just look at how beautiful Deborah Lippmann's She Drives Me Crazy (ten points to Gryffindor if you sing the Britney Spears song) is. It applies opaque in two coats and dries rather quickly. Love at first application? Pretty much but that is how I feel about the entire Deborah Lippmann Summer 2014 collection which you can find via Selfridges - link.

I'm not going to say much about Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche other than it is summer in a bottle and if you don't at least test it you are missing out. I would bathe in this if I could! Find it via House of Fraser - link.

Enjoy the Bank Holiday everyone!
