Five Must Have Fragrances for Spring/Summer '14

In the mood for a new fragrance but don't quite know where to begin? Let me share my top five must have scents which will hopefully have something for everyone...

Looking for something light but fruity? Then you should try out Escada's newest launch Escada Born in Paradise which is a mellow and creamy scent that is based on the ingredients of a Pina Colada cocktail. In my opinion it smells nothing like such fruity drink but it does have a prevalent coconut note but is fresh at the same time due to the pineapple addition. This is what I'd spray on if on a beach holiday as it would work well with sun lotion et al without being over powering. Find it on offer via Boots  -link.

Perhaps you enjoy fruity fragrances but want something a little bolder? In that instance I recommend giving Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche a go. Much like Escada Born in Paradise it is coconut based but is a little more tangy and citrus based. Although not officially listed as a note I can detect a slight orange note which may not sound all that appealing but trust me when I say this smells like summer - sun, sea, ice treats and a cheeky cocktail or two. If you smell me in the next few months I can almost guarantee that this is what I'll be wearing *heart eyes emoji*. Find it via House of Fraser - link.

Not everyone enjoys straight up fruity scents so you may be on the look out for a fruity floral? I have two that I recommend and have on rotation. First of all I have Carolina Herrera 212 Surf Eau de Toilette which reminds me a lot of Clinique's Happy in Bloom but a little fresher like clean cotton. It is warm yet light, fruity and floral with salt note to mimic sea air. Young and flirty perfect for a girlie holiday in the sun. This is probably the longest wearing fragrance out of my five picks. Speaking of jetting off with your close friends everyone needs a fragrance for going out clubbing. No just us? If I was to pack one scent for summer nights out it would be Roberto Cavalli Exotica Eau de Toilette. It is just so dang sexy yet light and again a fruity floral - mango, frangipani to name a few. I can almost guarantee someone will ask what you wearing when you mist this on. Will it be some Mediterranean hunk of a man? That I can not say. Find it via House of Fraser - link.

Lastly I have a beautiful light, floral scent that is a great all rounder and perfect for day wear Prada Candy Florale. Which has been based on both candy and floral scent memories. To my nose it is a light, airy floral scent that has a sweet vanilla note that helps balance out the dusky rose accord. I don't like the original Prada Candy but this I could wear all year long.
