The wait is finally over and truthfully it is a little anti-climatic in that the MAC Lorde Collection isn't really much of a collection at all but simply a two piece offering. A vampy lipstick and a eye liner which is actually already a permanent product so basically we are getting a MAC Lorde lipstick. Nothing more, nothing less.
So what do we need to know?
The MAC Lorde products will début at MAC’s Times Square and Fifth Avenue stores before being available internationally on the MAC website and Champs-Élysées. Basically note down the 5th of June.
The lipstick shade is called MAC Pure Heroine which of course is Lorde's album title and a nod to the best selling MAC Heroine lipstick shade in which the new shade takes inspiration from.
It goes without saying that MAC Pure Heroine will be limited edition and I'm guessing that it will sell out within hours if not minutes. The shade may not be to my taste but kudos to Lorde - imagine being 17 and having a MAC Lipstick launch in your honour. Impressive to say the least.
