Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is of course the newest addition to the Naked family (doesn't that sound like an affectionate term for nudists?) and by that admission the least duped palette out of the bunch. Luckily for us there is a new make-up brand on the scene Revolution Make Up which offer a rather decent dupe for the third Naked palette and for a mere £4!

As I have said before the packaging of the Revolution Make Up eyeshadow palettes won't be to everyone's taste, yes they are very plastic based and not exactly high end but it does do the job. To my mind the casing is very similar to MUA Cosmetics which I believe is brought to you by the same overall brand, I could be wrong? Anyway yes a large plastic black and transparent palette which contains 12 long strips of eyeshadow (way more than any other budget brand) complete with a foam applicator. No I'm not a fan of such application method but for £4 I can ignore that and I'm sure we all have plenty of eyeshadow brushes we can use regardless.

All in there is 10 Revolution Make Up eyeshadow palettes to collect each of which does remind me of some famous palettes but more on that at a later date. The  Redemption Palette Iconic 3 is a warm yet rosy toned neutral  assortment of shades which pretty much dupes each Urban Decay Naked 3 eyeshadow - oddly the palette is even laid out in the same order as the Naked offering. Naughty indeed. The Redemption Palette Iconic 3 shades are not labelled with shade names but hey you can have a field day naming them yourself. I like that the palette offers both matte and shimmer eyeshadows which past Urban Decay dupes tended to neglect - a good matte eyeshadow never goes wrong in my book.

The formulation of the eyeshadows is what really made me think of MUA Cosmetics as they have the same texture - slightly dry with a tendency to produce substantial fall out. It is difficult to be too critical as at £4 the palette really is wonderful value and teamed with a primer the dry issues are easily resolved. In terms of pigmentation there is no real issues the eyeshadows offer great pigmentation, blend out fairly well and again if used with a primer stay in place for at least 8 hours. My only criticism is that the mattes within the palette are a little chalky but then again show me a budget palette without this problem?
