MAC Huggable Lipcolours

Sometimes the best things in life are limited edition and that is very much the case with MAC's Huggable Lipcolours so much so that I wish I didn't leave it so long to purchase a few shades!
Isn't that always the way?

MAC Huggable Lipcolours

Unlike the standard MAC Lipstick line the MAC Huggable Lipcolour offerings come presented within super chic and slick chrome casings that forgo the bullet shape and are more akin in style to MAC's Sheen Supreme and Pro Longwear casings - oddly both are my favourite formulations. I had to dwell on packaging but I rather like that the caps of this line of lipsticks twist on rather than simply push down meaning that they are less likely to come loose in transit.

"A new high-shine formula featuring an array of creamy emollients, providing a lasting, glossy finish that leaves lips smooth and sculpted. A unique gel base allows each shade to smooth effortlessly onto the skin, with a feather-light finish giving immediate moisture, lasting up to six hours."

Did I mention that this formula is glorious? No I didn't well let me tell you it is one of MAC's best formulations to date -  MAC Huggable Lipcolour glides on to the lips offering glossy medium coverage that feels like a gel on the lips and is no way heavy. The texture is soft but not overly so meaning the lipsticks retain their shape and easy to apply - being soft also means that they are more hydrating on the lips than your typical lipstick and do not cling to any dry areas of the lips which plague me every winter. The "Huggable" aspect of course refers to the fact that once applied the MAC Huggable Lipcolours are going no where - they don't bleed, feather or budge for up to four hours and that includes eating and drinking. If like myself you like the look of glossy lips but not so much the sticky and minimal wear times then MAC Huggable Lipcolour (£17.50) should be topping your wish list.

As mentioned above the MAC Huggable Lipcolours are limited edition and somewhat tricky to find online. I managed to purchase the shades Fashion Force which is a cool toned orange coral which in my opinion will suit most and my other choice was Fresh and Frisky which is more of a peach than a coral. Both shades tend to work with my natural lip colour rather than masking it meaning that the majority of shades within this line are universally flattering.

Online I have found Debenhams to have the largest stock of shades at the moment - link but I do recommend popping into your local store as they tend to be better stocked in my opinion.
