Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Creams

I know what you are thinking, been there done that and it is time for something new.
Typically I agree - the BB and CC Cream launches have been done to death but I have to hand it to Bourjois and say that their new 123 Perfect CC Creams are worthy of a purchase and here is why...

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Creams

First up we have Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream which contains three colour correcting pigments: Apricot to counteract the signs of fatigue, green to disguise any traces of redness and white to conceal dark spots and comes in four shades. Very clever but does it work? Out of the three skin concerns this caters too signs of fatigue is what plagues me most and I hold my hand high in the air and will admit that not only did Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream even out my complexion but also brightened and left it looking radiant - a light glow I've only ever noticed after a facial. At the moment my skin is pretty dire with little patches of eczema, this glided over such areas without clinging to the dryness and did a pretty stellar job of diffusing the redness.

The texture of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream is rather light and more akin to a tinted moisturiser than your typical foundation, however having said that I do find that Bourjois are king of taking a good coverage product (Bourjois Healthy Mix anyone) and making the formula lighter than air. On the skin this feels almost undetectable and lives up to Bourjois hydration claims making it a great choice for dry skin types - oily complexions will need a primer to lock it in place. As you will be able to see from the swatches this does not offer the highest level of coverage it essentially evens out the complexion without being mask like, you will need to couple this will a concealer to disguise any blemishes but for light scarring and general discolouration this should offer enough coverage. You should also note that this has an SPF15.

My favourite item from the new 123 Perfect CC Cream collection has to be the eye cream - a rather novel twist up pen applicator that has a silicone nib for application. I wouldn't personally use the nib to blend the concealer into the under eye given how delicate the skin is but for dabbing it on to such area it is wonderful - especially for getting into tricky areas such as the inner corner.

Much like the CC Cream for the face this eye version also features colour correction technology and again like the facial version the coverage is sheer and in my opinion tends to focus on brightening the area rather than masking. I suffer from dark circles due to a lack of sleep on occasion and have found that the peachy tones in this concealer cancels out the blue tones rather well without the need of a heavy texture. If like myself you have a problem with eye products creasing through out the day then this comes recommend as once set with a quick dab of powder it stayed in place for at least 8 hours which is no mean feat on my oily skin. As you can probably tell from my images this concealer has a light, liquid texture which is easy to apply and blend as well as feeling weightless on the skin. The only downside is that this product only comes in two shades and if you have a medium or deep complexion you will be left out in the cold, otherwise a huge thumbs up from me.

At the moment ASOS have both products on offer - you can find the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream for £7.50 (normally £9.99) - link and the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream for £6 (usually £7.99) - link.
