This review has been a long time coming, this is actually my second tube of NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. However as my first bottle was purchased when I was more tanned which has long faded it has only been now that I have a great colour match and that I truly can appreciate NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in all its glory.

NARS don't always get the packaging right in my opinion. They tend to favour matte black, rubberised styles that get grubby quickly and the foundation offerings don't often come with pumps. Nightmare. Any way this time around NARS have got it right with a squeeze style tube that dispenses very evenly, by that I mean it is not difficult to get product out nor does it seep out. No complaints at all from me...I know I must be coming down with something haha!

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser comes in 11 shades and at the moment I find shade Medium 1 St Mortiz to be a good every day match. Truthfully it is a little deep for my current complexion (around an NC30 in MAC) but the shade up was too light. The great thing about tinted moisturisers et al is that because they don't tend to mask the skin you can get away with a shade slightly off. Any way NARS St Mortiz is officially described as a medium shade with neutral yellow undertones all of which I agree with. Going from memory (it's been a while since I've been at a NARS counter) the shades do tend to run a little deeper than you might expect but like I said they do blend out somewhat. I do wish that NARS had either matched the tinted moisturiser shades to the foundation shades for ease of online shopping or perhaps provided a shade comparison chart like Illamasqua do.

As someone with oily and less than perfect skin I never thought I'd be singing the praises of a tinted moisturiser but this is a game changer. First of all  NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser is oil free and although creamy in texture and of course offering hydration to dry or winter beaten skin it will not overwhelm oily/combination skin especially when set with a power. It also contains an SPF 30 which is said to be more advanced, in that it not only protects the skin from environmental damage but also hydrates and helps reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots. In terms of coverage it is certainly not one of the sheerer tinted moisturisers out there, in fact I would deem it to offer an almost medium level of coverage but it does feel weightless on the skin. Now don't get me wrong it won't cover pesky blemishes or stubborn dark circles but it does tone them down a notch or two and is more than sufficient for my old acne scarring. Adding clout to its beauty punch is the fact it will not cling to dry areas nor does it settle into lines of any type or enlarged pores. I liken the finish to NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in that it gives the skin a natural radiant finish that is both natural and flattering without the need for shimmer particles. It perks the skin up, moisturises, provides an even base and wears for up to ten hours on my oily skin when set with powder. If you have yet to try this wonder out I urge you to do so soon, you won't regret it.
