I'm going to be brutally honest and say since discovering the likes of Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer and Kat Von D's Lock It Tattoo Concealer very few others have impressed me. Well that was until I finally coughed up the cash and purchased NARS Creamy Concealer it truly is all I want in a concealer and more.

Before I get into the nitty gritty of the review I want to quickly glaze over the packaging style,an elongated tube which is transparent and with a silicone coated black lid that contains a doe foot foam applicator. It is nothing fancy and will most likely remind you off a typical lip gloss offering. The applicator allows you to quickly and easily apply the creamy concealer as well as spreading it to larger areas of the skin without pulling at the skin - very important when the eye area is concerned. I also like that the tube is transparent as you can see at a glance when you are running low.

Now on to the concealer itself which has to be commended on its shade range alone which comes in 10 shades meaning practically all skin tones are catered for. At the moment I am using the shade Custard (medium 1) which is a great match for my winter skin tone, it is light enough to highlight my under eye circles yet also adequate enough in shade depth to cater to any pesky blemishes. NARS Creamy Concealer is also one of the few formulations that doesn't oxidise on my oily skin which is fairly rare. If you struggle finding a good colour match in terms of concealer for whatever reason I do recommend heading to your local counter as I couldn't be more satisfied in that aspect.

Having oily skin I don't tend to be tempted by "creamy" offerings, in my mind that equates to extra moisture which doesn't necessarily bode well with my skin type, luckily the creamy description refers more to the texture rather than resulting in an extra hydrating formula. Now don't get me wrong I am sure this will be brilliant on dry skin types as the smooth texture glides over any rough patches, lines and enlarged pores without clinging to such skin faults but it is not any more moisturising than your typical liquid style concealer. The reason I like NARS Creamy Concealer so much is that it offers medium to full buildable coverage that does not cake on the skin, it feels light and looks natural and will brighten to a certain extent particularly when used on the under eye area. It also doesn't crease and wears wonderfully when set with powder for up to 10 hours on my skin type.

Natural yet illuminating, moderate to full coverage that allows the skin to breathe and available in 10 shades this concealer practically sells itself and it really will take something special to pry it from my hands.
