Topshop Beauty Christmas 2013

Giving the gift of beauty has never been easier or more funkier for that matter than Topshop's limited edition Christmas offering which includes various gift sets and cute little nail polish baubles for the tree. I was sent a few sets to showcase (all of which are well priced) should you want to add them to your Christmas wish list or in fact seek them out for a loved one.

First up we have Topshop's Smokey Eye Kit which features three full sized eye products: an eye shadow quad, a kohl pencil and a mascara all encased within a neon yellow/green transparent clutch bag which is bang on trend and totally reusable. The palette features four deep shades, three of which remind me of NARS' Night Porter shades - you have a green tinged black shade, a deep red tinged black hue,a cool toned mushroom tone and lastly a bright ivory cream that leans slightly golden. All four pans are fairly large and not only offer great pigmentation but have a lovely, soft texture that is easy to apply and blend. I have yet to try out the mascara as it is a little too wet for my personal taste so I will return to it once it dries out a little. The kit also contains a Topshop Kohl Pencil in the shade Coal which is a true black eyeliner by any other name which offers intense colour pay off, glides on easily and wears rather well even on the waterlines. All in all a great little kit for any make-up fan and at £22 it won't break the bank.

I was also sent a few nail polishes including one of the Topshop Mini Nail Trio's which is a dinky little kit which contains threeTopshop polishes. There is three different colourways to choose from and the kit I have is perhaps the vampiest of the bunch with three deep but very pretty shades. Inside the cute little neon pink pouch I have the following shades: Gypsy Night which is a some what black jelly base with fine rainbow glitter - for best results I would layer this over another dark polish. There is also Magpie which is a holographic glitter top coat and lastly the shade Dazzle which is a metallic red that leans slightly golden in some lights. This kit will set you back £14 which is a saving of £4 should you buy the polishes separatetly.

Last but not least we have a dinky little Christmas Tree bauble which contains a mini Topshop polish inside with three colour choices to choose from or collect. At £5 this makes a great little stocking stuffer or secret Santa gift or simply to hang on your tree to add a little glitter and pizazz! I have the shade Jem which is a rather pretty deep pink almost red glitter top coat that is perfect for the festive season.

You can find all of the above mentioned Topshop Beauty gift sets* at selected Topshop stores and of course online via Topshop - link
