L'Oreal Ever Strong Hair Care

Yesterday I touched on how stress has been affecting my hair and today it is all about itchy scalps...not the most pleasant of topics I know. Each winter my scalp seems to become unbearably itchy and after visiting my doctor two years on the trot there seems to be no logical explanation why. At first I was told it could be stress (I wasn't stressed or nervous), I was then told it was my fabric detergent (we have used the same one for years why would I only be allergic in the cold weather?) and then I was told it was my hair care products (again why would it only happen in the winter?). I know I'm not a medical professional by any means but I have come to the conclusion (rather easily too) that the cold weather is to blame.

The one good thing about switching up my hair care routine in the quest for a non-itchy scalp is that I have discovered some great sulphate free products, so much so that I have vowed to stay sulphate free from here on out. Admittedly in the past I wasn't the biggest fan of L'Oreal's Ever hair care line which is of course their newest branch and each product is sulphate free. The problem wasn't the formula in the past it was that I simply hadn't bought the correct type for my hair. I have been trying out L'Oreal's Ever Strong collective (thank goodness for Boots 3 for 2's eh) and have to say not only is my hair in better condition but my scalp is less itchy...not completely cured but an improvement none the less.

I'm one of those people thank thinks a shampoo is a shampoo it cleanses and little else but I have to hold my hands up in defeat and say that the L'Oreal Ever Strong Shampoo has not only somewhat soothed my itchy scalp but it is so gentle on my dried out locks. As my hair has been bleached rather frequently the mid lengths and of course ends have seen better days and this has stopped such lengths from drying out further and of course snapping. Despite being sulphate free the shampoo lathers up wonderfully and cleanses efficiently which is all I truly ask for. Oh the scent is rather zing too a combination of mint and rosemary.

In my opinion the real hero products have to be the Ever Strong Conditioner and the Ever Strong Nourishing Mask. The conditioner is a little thicker than your typical conditioner which is to be expected as it has been formulated for fragile and brittle hair to help repair and restore but despite the thicker consistency it does not weigh the hair down. Rather it adds a great dose of moisture rinses clean and leaves the hair feeling and looking healthier as well as being easier to comb.

If your hair is feeling rather dried out and is perhaps a little brittle the product I fully recommend purchasing is the L'Oreal Ever Strong Intensive Mask which is essentially a more intense version of the conditioner. In my experience it sets to work from the first use and again treats truly dried hair out with a great level of hydration without being heavy. In my opinion even fine hair could use this without worry. If you have been abusing your hair with heat, bleach, a combination of both or anything else you can imagine this has to be one of the best high street hair masks out there. I like to slap it on, wrap my hair in a towel and leave for a good few hours before rinsing out and have seen a vast improvement in the condition of my hair since switching over.

Dry, brittle and fragile hair types I urge you to give L'Oreal Ever Strong a go, it could be the best thing you do for your hair.

I bought my trio via Boots on a three for two offer which is currently ongoing prices start at £5.99 - link
