Shall I let you in on a secret? I have already began my Christmas shopping - I kid you not I am nearly finished and boy does it feel good. As a result my bank balance is all but dilapidated so my stash has been taking a hit but it is always good to rediscover an old favourite isn't it?

The week past was the week I finally understood the fuss and hype for that matter surrounding the infamous Emma Hardie Moringa Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. My skin is clear, softer, brighter and generally in a better state. At £34 it is not cheap but a little goes a long, long way and I kid you not when I say it removes every scrap of make-up, dirt and grime with ease. Could this replace my beloved Aurelia Miracle Cleanser? Probably not but it does come a close second!

I have quite a few make-up favourites this week including the new Barry M Flawless Finish Foundation which hand on heart is one of the best high street foundations I have stumbled upon recently. It is nourishing, kind to the skin and offers a soft matte finish with a moderate level of coverage that helps keep oil at bay. It is one of the few foundations that should suit all skin types and is a complete snip at less than £6 per bottle.
You can find Barry M Flawless Finish Foundation via Boots for £5.99 - link
and via Superdrug for the same price but with free delivery - link

On my eyes this week has been a combination of the beautiful Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate palette which is a neutral lovers dream and probably this seasons must have palette. Seven great shades that suit all complexions and needs housed in one sleek palette, it is easy to see why this keeps selling out.
At the moment you can find it via Selfridges - link but I would be quick should you desire it.

My other eye product of choice is the new Bourjois Color Edition 24H Cream Eyeshadows namely the shade 05 Prune Nocturne. If you are looking for a dupe for Chanel's Ebloui then look no further this is the budget version for you an almost maroon shade that is a combination of purple, brown and red. A great autumnal shade that is not lacking in pigmentation and so quick and easy to slick on and forget about.

I'm not at all familiar with the brand Lord & Berry but I have been relying on their Peach Gleam lipstick on a near daily basis - a light peachy based nude that is easy to wear and flattering. Yes the texture is a little gritty and as a result somewhat drying but I can ignore that for the pretty shade.

I kid you not when I say that I have found the most perfect silver glitter polish ever in the form of Bourjois It's Raining Stars 1 Seconde Nail Enamel. It covers like a dream, dries quickly and leaves you with the most sparkly silver nails known to man. I have been teaming it with pastel shades for a pretty manicure.
You can find it via Boots (oddly it is called Star Rain on here) - link

Weekly Favourites

My two miscellaneous products of the week are Yankee's Lake Sunset wax tarts typically my go to scent of late has been Fireside Treats but for the last few days it has been all about this fragrance. It reminds me somewhat of Yankee's Pink Sands only a little more mellow yet still lightly fruity. I have also rediscovered an old childhood favourite in the form of The Little Prince by Antione De Saint-Exupery. As an adult you see the novel for what it is (ground breaking and years beyond its time) coupled with the magic of reading this as a child. I won't lie I am a little peeved that they are making this into a film with James Franco in the cast. Nope. No thank you.
