Each time I have been in Space.NK I have pretty much all but ignored the Becca stand, truth is none of the products jumped out at me despite all the glowing reviews for various products.
A little silly really when Becca's brand ethos is glowy, sheer skin and natural looking shades - all that I wish for and more. While clearing out I found a deluxe sample of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal and absent mindedly applied it to my skin dismissing it as nothing more than another liquid highlighter. Boy, oh boy was I wrong!
I hold my hands up and decree that the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector's are in a league of their own - not only do they look natural but they can be used in a multiple of ways. You can apply it as you would a typical liquid highlighter, you can mix in with your foundation for a light dewy and radiance boosting effect or apply to the body. A little truly goes a long way and there is a colour option for all skin tones - four to be exact. I have Opal which is a light almost peachy champagne tone that runs a little cool but is pretty much universal and a great winter option for light to medium skin tones in my opinion.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector's are of course liquid based radiance enhancers but unlike the majority of liquid highlighters they are water based so the consistency is more like a gel and as a result it feels lighter than air on the skin. Also adding to the reasons why the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector's are game changing is that the shimmer is very subtle so even those like myself who are plagued with enlarged pores can apply and not worry about drawing attention to such fault. Think the soft glow of candlelight rather than full on glitter disco ball and you will have hit the nail on the head. A light sheen rather than glitter galore, refined rather than tacky, basically the highlighting product to end all other highlighters. I kid you not and the lasting power is wonderful too with a full 10 hours of wear on my oily skin with ease.
Is a full size purchase on the horizon? You betcha! Now to decide what shade to plump for?

I've always ignored Becca because of all the blog hype! Sounds funny when coming from a blogger, but I get a little bit cynical when a brand suddenly pops up everywhere, garnering A* reviews from everyone. I must have a proper look now, no smoke without fire - might be just my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteBecca have some amazing products! There lip and cheek tints, shimmering skin perfectors and blushers are great!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for a highlighter.... currently using Nars Multiple in Copacabana, but this product does look very attempting and not glittery hoorah!!
