Touch of Silver Hair Care

Yes, yes you more than likely associate the Touch of Silver haircare line with old dears and their blue rinses. Personally I don't see that as a bad thing at all, I can't wait to rock some lilac tinged hair and a tracksuit when I'm older. Yes I really will be that guy - Reebok Classics, zimmerframe and more gold than Mr.T...smoking hot eh? Anyway before I loose all leave of my senses let me say that granny really does know best and that if you have blonde hair you must pick up the Touch of Silver haircare line.

Why? Well first of all it is as cheap as chips, I got mine in my local supermarket for £1.99 a bottle which is a good deal less than my regular Fudge Silver products which come it at just shy of £15 a bottle...ouch! Price aside the products actually work not only does the light purple tinted shampoo and conditioner help rid blonde hair of brassy tones much like a toner (if you have white blonde hair purple shampoo is a god send for keeping it bright) but the gentle formula also has a UV filter to prevent photodamage (sun damage) and guard your colour.

For £2 a pop I will be truthful and say that I wasn't expecting much even less so when I realised that the two products I bought (Daily Nourish) are intended for daily use. Anyone with bleached hair will contest that daily washing is not ideal due to the fragile nature of bleached hair but even when used say every third day the Touch of Silver Daily Nourish range helps to keep my sometimes brassy blonde tones in check with next to know effort. I also think it is worth while mentioning that the scent of both products remind me of Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner - almost bubblegum like. The shampoo is fabulous, it cleanses effectively and leaves the hair soft and free from product build up, the conditioner is mediocre it does a great job of neutralising the hair but those like myself may find it more beneficial to team it with something more intense. I tend to apply a conditioning mask, rinse off and then apply the Touch of Silver conditioner to seal the cuticle and reap the benefits of the purple tone.

P.S please don't worry about this tingeing your hair purple/lilac as it won't - the pigment is so faint that it won't show up even on the whitest blonde or most porous hair out there.

You can find both products at Superdrug for £1.99/200ml each! Shampoo - link, Conditioner - link
