If you are searching for an all in one facial all that suits just about ever skin type call the search off as I have found it in the form of REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil. This serum come facial oil has been formulated to give a gentle boost to he overall skin health add moisture, radiance and helping wage a war against premature ageing.
"A transforming oil that strengthens the skin’s vital lipid barrier and re-energizes skin cell activity to dramatically improve moisture levels, boosts overall skin health and vitality while reducing the signs of wrinkles, premature ageing and sensitivity."
Those used to facial oils will be familiar with the light oil based texture of this product - it is very loose and very much a liquid and despite the serum claim. I find the best way to apply oils to reduce dripping the product is to dab directly on the face and then smooth all over the skin. Drips aside the texture of the REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil results in the skin lapping it up and instantly absorbing - yes even with oily skin like mine. Forget worrying about greasy residue and stained pillows by the time you lay your pretty head down to count sheep this has completely absorbed into the skins surface. REN suggest applying this at night before your usual night cream and should you need it before make-up in the am. I only use this in the evening and have been teaming it with Clarins Hydraquench for Normal skin which so far has been the best night cream for my oily complexion.
As with most REN products this is laden with great ingredients such as Omega 3 (from Vegetal Plankton and Gold of Pleasure Oil) which has been added to promote cell renewal, to hydrate and to restore firmness and elasticity levels. This also includes Rosehip Seed Oil which is noted for being rich in Vitamin A and has been included to stimulates the natural metabolism (regeneration) of skin cells and last but not least we have Wheat Germ Oil to nourish and to provides essential vitamins to protect the skin from environmental damage. All of which is fine and dandy but does it work?
Yes, yes it does. I have used this oil on and off in the last two years (it was previously known as REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum) and tend to rely on it when I feeling stressed as it not only hydrates but perks up the skin. As someone with sallow skin that can look really dull again normally when I'm a little run down I find this be a great product to help restore, revitalise and being a city girl protect from environmental damage. Like I said this is a great all round skin care product that is very easy to use, doesn't break out the skin and lasts an age. If you are confused but the numerous skin oils out there this is a great all rounder that will tick all the boxes as well as being suitable for most not to mention rather well priced. In a word a skin care staple for me.

Serums are something I need to pay more attention to. Like you said, I like products that tick a few boxes as I have oily skin and hate the feeling of product overload. I think I might have a look at this on their website xx.

ih that's seems nice. I'm testing clarins blue orchid oil for dehydrated skin -I think you've reviewed that one too- and so far so good but I haven't used it much to see a huge difference. Do you still use that one? do you prefer ren over the one from clarins?
ReplyDeletemaybe I'll try ren's, when i finish the other one.

I've been trying one of their other serums lately but i'm really not finding it that good, it doesn't seem to be doing much and it's so greasy. This sounds nice though, might add it to my ongoing to buy list!

I've never tried out Ren before but this looks like an amazing product. I'm seriously intrigued now though. I kind of want to try it out soon. Will have to go on my wish list right next to the Alpha H liquid gold.

This product has a huge smell that some people might dislike. But, it softens my skin dramatically by the morning. I'm so happy I got a sample of this product.
