Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Deluxe Edition

Over the weekend I made it my mission to wear test as many Physicians Formula products as possible - I managed a good few but some I would like a little longer with just to properly gauge my thoughts. However one product I fell in love with almost immediately was Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Deluxe Edition . I must stress that yes it does look like Physicians Formula are crossing the pond over to the UK (why else would they send out samples?) I have no date or hint of sale locations as of yet, as soon as I do I will of course announce it on the blog.

I'm torn over the packaging - one hand it is very bulky and large in size and not the most robust (a few of the samples arrived broken) but there is no denying that Physicians Formula have thought of everything. From a brush which is kept in a separate compartment to a good sized and quality mirror this compact has it all. While we are on the topic of presentation can we have a moment of appreciation for the embossing on the powder please? A pretty and detailed sunburst design takes centre stage which really does grab your attention and imagine it will be the sole deciding factor for a few purchases.

Going by US blogs and the likes of Ulta I have gathered that the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Deluxe Edition compacts come in two shade options Light to Medium and Medium to Dark. I have the Light to Medium shade which is a bright, almost copper based golden hue that despite it's appearance is not at all that shimmery and a great shade for light to medium complexions. If you can recall the MAC In Extra Dimension MSF's from earlier this year then this is a great permanent and cheaper almost dupe, the finish of the PF version lends itself to being a bronzer better than the MAC counterpart. No the finish is not an over spray, I have dug a little into my compact and can confirm that the texture/finish is the same all the way throughout.

As mentioned above the formula and shade of the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Deluxe Edition reminds me of the MAC In Extra Dimension MSF's which at their core are soft, almost gel to powder highlighting powders. The Physicians Formula version isn't quite as refined but it does deliver a similar effect, the main difference is that the PF formulation is slightly drier and not as smooth in texture but not lacking pigmentation in the slightest - the overall shade reminds me somewhat of Benefit Dallas. However once applied it does deliver a soft focus golden sheen to the skin without the need of glitter making it the perfect highlight or bronzer for that matter for those with open pores, fine lines or any other minor skin faults. As this is a slightly drier powder product the wear time is somewhat reduced with the three separate applications (Friday-Sunday) wearing for around 6 hours before being almost undetectable on the skin so a little under average in my experience.

A pretty product enough product that can be used both as a bronzer and highlighter, here's hoping that they are well priced when they launch!
