New Barry M Matte Nail Paints

I apologise for the barrage of Barry M nail posts about to come your way, I was going to post them all in one huge post but truthfully there is simply too many nail shades to do that. First up we have the entire collection of the five new Barry M Matte Nail Paints which are both chic and perfectly suited in terms of colour for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season. The launch dates are as follows : September 25th in Superdrug and Boots October 2nd and they will retail for £3.99 each.

Rather than give a brief overview I thought it would be more helpful to provide a small review of each shade, that way you can decide if a certain polish if for you or not. However I can say with absolute certainty that the formula is most definitely matte and there is no exceptions within the five shades what so ever.

Espresso - With one coat this is very weak, it patches and streaks and looks more grey than black. However with two coats it becomes a rich intense black that almost looks leather like.

Crush - A deep berry come red hue (like a red wine) that is surprisingly opaque in one coat, I do recommend two coats for a more full coverage but a really well formulated polish with no application woes.

Caramel - This was on of the thicker formulated shades of the bunch with it being perfectly opaque in one coat and with it being a light cool nude shade it should suit most.

Vanilla - My favourite shade a light cool grey based pink that is truly stunning much like the shade above this is opaque in one coat and the "if you buy one shade let it be this" pick.

Mocha - Nude comes in all shades and I think this slightly cool toned mocha brown shade would make a great nude choice for those with a deeper complexion. Although technical matte this does have a slight soft sheen aspect that gives a leather like appearance.

On the whole a great line up in both colour choice and formulation - 4/5 of the shades are opaque in one coat making them perfect for those who like to paint their nails and go in a matter of minutes.
