Barry M The Royal Glitter Nail Paints Collection Review

Barry M The Royal Glitter Nail Paints Collection

We all have favourites be it a sibling, an eye brow or friend and from all the new launches the Barry M Royal Glitter Collection is mine. Five new sparkly shades that almost mimic nail art at the stroke of a brush, you'd be crazy to miss these when they launch in September the 25th via Superdrug and Boots October 2nd for £3.99 each.

Much like before rather than gloss over the shades I have broke them down individually below but I can comment that although they are texturised polishes they have been improved and refined since the last Barry M Texture polish and are not gritty in the slightest. Yes they dry to a matte finish but my goodness are they glorious.

Princess - This is the ultimate Barbie pink nail polish, a super sparkly bubblegum pink shade that has lots and lots of gold sparkle it truly is beautiful and for a salon effect manicure I recommend a clear top coat for gel like nails. Yes this does require two coats but as it is matte it dries within seconds.

Majesty - This reminds me of the OPI sand polishes they launched earlier this year (or was it last?) - it looks like glittering sand and is one of the few gold polishes that could easily be worn in both the summer months or at Christmas for a little festive sparkle. Again for full opaque coverage this needed two coats.

Duchess - A muted but sparkly lilac tinged pink polish, Princess may be the Barbie-esque polish but this isn't far behind, dare I say it reminds me of Candyfloss, Unicorns and all other things dreamily sweet. This is one of the few polishes that only required one coat.

Lady - Best described as snow queen nails in a bottle - a shimmering white base with pearlescent glitter that is opaque in two coats and your key product to lazy snowy nails in one quick step.

Countess - This is the vampiest shade of the bunch that can be worn both as a one coater for a lighter purple effect without skimping on the glitter or as two coats for an all out vampy almost black/purple base. If any shade screams Halloween it is this as it almost looks like a molten cauldron...my imagination does run wild at times.

Summed up one of the prettiest glitter nail collections in a long while with no application faults and the bonus of speedy drying time.

  32. These looks lovely, but I was hoping them to be smooth glitter polishes. It's just seems like there are too many sand collections out there already..
But I think I will try a few of them just in case ;)
