Barry M Crystal Glaze and Berry Cosmo Nail Paints

And we have reached the concluding post of the new Barry M Nail Paints for Autumn/Winter 2013 and I think we will all agree that I have saved some of the best until last with a Autumnal glossy berry shade and a wonderful flaky top coat. The good news is that to the best of my knowledge all the new polishes are not limited edition and will launch via Superdrug on the 23rd of September and a little later via Boots on the second of 2nd October.

Berry Cosmo is a deep purple based berry shade that has a beautiful glossy finish and is not far removed at all from the likes of Nails Inc Victoria and O.P.I's Lincoln Park After Dark only marginally cheaper. Berry Cosmo has a fairly thick formula that does apply well and is fairly opaque in one coat, I do recommend going for two coats for full coverage. This is not as fast drying as the matte shades but does dry fairly speedy settling to a highly glossy finish that means you can skip a top coat should you wish.

Crystal Glaze may appear to have a light pink tint but once applied to the nails as you can see from the swatches it dries clear leaving behind a trail of opalescent glitter flecks - I believe this type of polish is often referred to as a flaky/flakie top coat? When worn alone the effect is really subtle but it really comes alive when applied over a dark polish.

So what has been your favourite new Barry M nail paint now you have seen all of what the new shades have to offer?
