NARS Realm of the Senses Blush Palette

At the moment there are so many new NARS products either newly on the stands or on their way. Exclusive to Space.NK are two new blush palettes: Realm of the Senses and Soulshine. Truthfully unless you are a complete die hard NARS fan or blush junkie you do not need both options as in my opinion they are fairly similar but to resist both of the new offerings is a hard task indeed.

Realm of the Senses is slightly larger in size than a typical NARS blush it is on par with the brands bronzers so they are pretty sizable and given the price tag I should expect so too! Each of the two new blush palette offerings are a single pan blush which is comprised of three main shades and one over spray which can be found within the engraving/logo slapped across the product. To look at they are rather pretty, almost a modern piece of art.

Due to the styling of the palette I highly doubt that anyone would be able to use the three main shades (or the over spray for that matter) could be use as individual blushes, rather I feel the purpose of this palette is to swirl all the shades together and create a custom blush that is not within the brands regular cosmetic line.
To my eye the three shades that make up the Realm of the Senses palette look rather familiar - there's a large chunk of peachy pink which reminds me of NARS Orgasm, a golden toned highlight which isn't all that different to Luster and lastly a dirty plum bronze which could be compared to Outlaw only this is more purple tinged or perhaps NARS Seduction. Realm of the Senses is the lighter of the two palettes and is officially listed as providing a golden peach illuminating tint to the skin. In my opinion on my skin tone at least it provides a mid toned yellow tinged pink almost coral effect that is rather shimmery and not at all an original shade - think a deeper NARS Orgasm both in shade and finish but a little darker.

Oddly the texture of the Realm of the Senses Blush Palette is much softer and less drier than your typical NARS blush. The problem with this is that the pan does seem more prone to product fall out than normal which is both messy and a waste of product. In my opinion to get the most from either of the new palettes you should try when possible to use a super soft blush brush to apply to reduce fall out - I really like using the real techniques blush brush. That aside there are no problems with pigmentation, it was what you have most likely come to expect from NARS - a well pigmented formula that blends out with ease and is fairly long wearing. On my oily skin this wore when primed for around 7 hours before it began to fade a little but I do blame the current warm climate for products not performing quite how they should!
