If you are a fan of milky pink based lipsticks you have to quickly snap up MAC Feed the Senses Lipstick from the newly launched Indulge collection before it is too late. This always happens to me, I find my ideal of my perfect everyday lipstick only to find out it is a limited edition shade. Sods law...well unless you have a limitless bank balance and happen to be a fan of stockpiling (I'm neither).
MAC Feed the Senses is listed as a "mid-toned mauve-y nude" which I completely agree with. In my opinion this is the slightly cooler and more milkier toned sister of MAC Angel. Before applied to the lips it appears much more purple toned but once applied it takes on a cool toned, creamy pink appearance which does make the teeth appear much whiter than they actually are. Truthfully this is one of those shades that I do worry will appear a little stark and ashen on certain skin tones so for that reason I'm going to suggest that it is better suited for those with light-medium complexions. In my opinion the "with flash" photos are the best real representation of this shade.
Feed the Senses is a lustre finish lipstick which typically does mean that it the formula is more on the sheer side, however this time around I found it to be more akin with MAC's Cremesheen formula. Sure if you lightly apply this to the lips with a feather touch you will gain a sheer wash of colour but with a normal hand this packs quite a punch in terms of pigmentation and I for one am not complaining. This shade will not cling to any dry areas of the lips, it is moisturising and generally a joy to wear. Having said that it is not the longest lasting with it only fairing around the two hour mark on my lips per application. With a shade this pretty I can't say it bothers me all that much.
Get it while you can ladies and gentlemen!
