Deeming these to be U.S shades is probably rather unfair of me as I'm sure Canada and other places out with Europe share the same shade variety but as I purchased these in the U.S I'm just rolling with it ha!
It has also crossed my mind that such shades may well be available elsewhere but under another guise if that is in-fact the case do feel free to let me know in the comments what other shade names these L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows shades have in various locations.
The shade names of the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows may differ but the packaging remains the same, each shadow comes neatly packaged in transparent screw top jars with silver trimmings and inside each shade they each have a small plastic conserver that you use to push down the loose eyeshadow after each application to limit waste and spillages. If only every loose pigment style eyeshadow came this way my life would be so much easier!
I only bought two shades of the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows :800 Bottomless Java and 892 Amber Rush. Bottomless Java was a spontaneous purchase - Walgreens had a promotion running at the time and I thought meh why not. Truthfully it is a rather typical golden tinged chocolate brown which you'll have seen countless times before and more than likely own in several times over due to neutral palettes. Pretty yes but nothing special. The other shade 892 Amber Rush is having a bit of a moment in the beauty world just now and rightly so as this rose gold shade is truly beautiful. Amber Rush is a cool toned pink tinged copper which makes a great everyday wash of colour and can even be used as a highlighter! Both shadows offer exceptional colour pay off and can be layered on for an intense foil finish or buffered out for a softer look.
The formula of these eyeshadow's are odd but odd in a good sense. Yes they are loose pigments in a sense
but as they are semi-pressed they feel like a mousse in terms of texture yet when you apply and blend out they feel more like a gel and finally settle to a powder finish...so odd but exciting!
The great thing is that you have all the flexibility of a loose pigment type of product yet none of the hassle i.e product spill out and waste issues. In the past some have likened them to Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill shadowsas I haven't tested those I can't honestly comment but I can say that L'oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow's may just have changed my opinion forever about loose pigment products forever.
They wear exceptionally well as they are waterproof the wear time is high even without the use of a primer,
with my oily lids I find the formula to typically wear un-primed for almost six hours without creasing
or fading which is hard to come by in my opinion, with a primer they reach 10 hours plus with ease.
As mentioned neither shade is avalible within the UK (to the best of my knowledge) but you can find a great colour selection of the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows at Boots for £6.99 each - link.
I bought Amber Rush when I visited Florida in June and it is now my favourite eyeshadow that I own! x
