Clarins Crayon Khôls

Along with a number of other amazing make-up goodies the new Clarins Crayon Khôls sneaked (albeit a little quietly) onto the Clarins website and counters with the Graphic Expression collection. If you have yet to browse the new additions I highly recommend checking out the new eye palette - review link and the new face palette - review link, both are show stoppers and perfect for the upcoming Autumn season.

The new Clarins Crayon Khôls come presented much like any other liner of this type but I will state that the golden accents do help give the appearance of a high end product which is never a bad thing is it?
The Crayon Khôls are dual ended with one end containing a natural bristle, soft square brush which can be used to apply smudge out the liner and to soften any lines should you wish. The other end of course contains the liner nib.

Clarins Crayon Khôls are presently available in eight shades and I warn you now once you try one a little like Pokemon you will want to collect them all. I currently posses 02 Intense Brown which is of course a rich chocolate brown free from shimmer but not entirely matte, it has more of a satin like finish. 03 Intense Blue is a deep, rich almost navy blue with a slightly shimmer based metallic finish. Neutral fans may want to seek out 06 Bronze which is a slightly olive toned deep brown which in my opinion is best suited as an all over wash of colour and is again a satin finish. My personal favourite has to be 08 Taupe - a mid toned but smoky grey based taupe that perfectly balances both a medley of  purple and grey tones with a slightly shimmery finish, the perfect shade for grey or hazel eyes in my opinion.

The beauty of the Clarins Crayon Khôls is that they are very much multi-purpose giving you plenty of bang for your buck. You can apply them as a typical liner on the tight line, waterline and upper/lower lash lines, you can smoke them out with ease for an all over wash of colour or use them as a base for powder products. Their texture is firm enough that it delivers precise lines yet soft so it does not pull or tug on the delicate eye area. Although the formula is not waterproof it is fairly long lasting wearing for around 3 hours on my waterline/tight line, up to 6 hours on my lower lash line, around 8 hours on my upper lash line and when primed close to 7 hours as an all over wash of colour.

A great staple line of eye liners that combines both function and colour in a very wearable manner!
