I dare anyone to walk past the Kardashian Beauty K24 Prime and not be slightly intrigued.
The glitzy gold glitter packaging will appeal to most of our inner magpie's - truth be told the packaging is a little cheap and slap dash, the gold glitter cardboard insert on my tube has come loose, the labels have been slapped on carelessly. Very nit-picky I know but the devil is in the detail and given that the Kardashian Beauty isn't all that cheap (prices start at £7) I'm afraid I do expect a little more in terms of presentation, if the likes of MUA (home of the £1 lipstick) can do it so can other brands.

What is Kardashian Beauty K24 Prime? That is a good question and one which I haven't been able to fully answer myself. Basically it is being marketed as a primer and a solution to dull skin. I'm not convinced - dull skin yes, well if you like glitter that is but it is not truly a primer in a traditional sense. Kardashian Beauty K24 Prime is best described as a thick golden gelee like substance that reminds me of old school body glitter, in both texture and finish. The thick liquid is tinted - bright gold, in some lights it looks like liquid gold which is jam packed with tiny flecks of gold glitter flecks. Pretty but very, very sparkly and not at all something most will reach for on a daily basis.

The idea is that you apply a generous layer of this all over the face and neck, leave for for five minutes before rinsing off (water only) which is why I don't rate it as a primer. Essentially you are washing away the golden tint, excess product and any adhesive properties the liquid may have. After five minutes the Kardashian Beauty K24 Prime does dry out completely so the rinsing stage can be a little troublesome, once that has passed I will admit that the effect is much more subtle but as the K24 is so glitter based as far as my face is concerned it is not for anyone with enlarged pores or fine lines because let me tell you those little particles will get trapped into any little space and highlight it for the world to see. Of course once foundation et al are applied on top the glitter is somewhat disguised but the effect is still far from subtle and dare I say it odd. However I have found that it looks great with a tan or dark skin when applied to the body and may be something to keep in mind for when the Festive period rears its head once again.

Random Fact - Gold is so pliable that it can be made into sewing thread. An ounce of gold can be stretched over 50 miles, it is also edible!
