My usually oil ridden skin has taken a sudden dry turn and left me bamboozled, what do you do when everything in your skin care stash is for oily skin and you now have dry areas? Panic normally and then scour the web for solutions. One product the comes up time and time again for a quick fix for dry/dehydrated skin is Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask.
As the name suggests you apply this fruity scented clear gel like consistency to your skin as the last step in your skin care routine before drifting off to sleep and awaken to moisturised skin. In essence your skin drinks and laps up the additional barrier of moisture delivered via the mask and it should take care of any dry patches. It probably is the quickest fix to dehydrated skin I have trialed thus far and is great for treating sun parched skin.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask contains Plant Glycerin this extracts water from the local environment and encourages the skin to trap such excess moisture. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid which again is crucial to once more for trapping hydration and getting the most from the mask. Drink Up Intensive contains Apricot Kernel Oil is a natural oil that is loaded with fatty acids and antioxidants to plump and clear the skin. That's not all this mask also lists Avocado Oil and Mango Butter to encourage the skin to build up moisture reserves so it becomes the skin care product that just keeps giving. Combine all these ingredients with Japanese Seaweed and you will not only awaken to instantly plumper, fresher and softer skin that feels much more hydrated from day but used fairly regularly and you should be able to rid yourself of dry, itchy, flaky skin for good.
Yes this mask is targeted towards drier skin types but even us oily lads and ladies can stumble into a dry skin spell every now and then and you can rest assure that this mask will not wreck havoc with your skin. In-fact I have found it much more gentle and less heavy than many a night cream!
Not bad huh? I can fully understand why so many adore this mask and you can add myself to the long list of fans.
Oh and it smells like sweet apricots.

Random Fact - Seaweed can live up to 500 meters deep in the sea.
Finally, I've found another person who uses the word bamboozled! hehe

I adore this mask! My t-zone is very oily, but my cheeks have gotten fairly dry during the past few months so I knew I had to switch up my routine. This mask is my savior for dehydrated skin! Origins have to be my favorite skincare brand at the moment, anything they do I love (Clear Improvement, anyone?).

I love Origins like it's the brand that was made for me! I love the scent and love how they normally fares. I haven't tried that but since I don't really have oily skin as of the moment, should probably hold it off. Any recommendation for normal to combination though?
ReplyDeleteOmgosh I'm so glad I read this post ! My skin tends to get super dry in the winter and this is going to be a lifesaver! Do you have any serum recommendation for after-sun skincare?
