Ray Ban Tortoiseshell Wayfayer Sunglasses

It is a beautiful day here in Glasgow for a change and I thought it would only be fitting that I shared my current sunglasses of choice - Ray Ban Tortoiseshell Wayfayer Sunglasses.

Yes everyone and their mother owns a pair of Wayfayer Sunglasses but in my opinion for very good reason - they are unisex so you can steal your boyfriends/girlfriends pair and not look ridiculous, they are are great size and suit most face shapes and most importantly they are classic so you can wear them year in, year out and they never look dated. Well worth the splurge in my opinion.

I settled on the Ray Ban Tortoiseshell Wayfayers (the model number is RB 2132 710 52-18) over the standard black frame as I personally found the all black option to be a little too harsh on my face. The tortoiseshell model has all the diversity of the black version (i.e they go with everything) without being as obvious on my face. Yes the Ray Ban standard sun lenses protect your eyes and cut out the glare from the sun but as I am short sighted my next mission is to take my frames to the opticians and get them replaced with custom lenses so I can see my own hand in-front of my face ha!

Random Fact - Ray Ban were created in 1937 by Bausch & Lomb. A lieutenant complained that his eyes were damaged after a balloon flying adventure and asked B & L to create sunglasses that protected the eyes from the sun and still looked elegant.
