Sleek Make-Up Matte Me Lip Creams

Launching on the 28th of July is a brand new lip offering from Sleek Make-Up dubbed the Sleek Make-up Matte Me Lip Cream collection. At less than £5 per shade you will have to move quickly as I am told they are limited edition and won't be around for long! If you enjoy the likes of Collection's Cream Puff and/or Sephora's Cream lip Stains this is a product you may want to investigate as they are pretty similar.

Truthfully I am not the biggest fan of these lip creams when it comes to the packaging - it does look and feel a little cheap and very young but given the price point I guess something has to give. The Sleek Make-Up Matte Me Lip Creams come presented within a typical lip gloss style tube with a doe foot applicator which works well to help spread the lip cream evenly onto the lips. Despite looking a little cheap I do have to applaud the transparent packaging as it allows you to easily view the shade held within.

To the best of my knowledge there will be six shades in total of the Sleek Make-Up Matte Me Lip Creams when they launch this coming July: Fandango Purple, Brink Pink, Rioja Red, Party Pink, Petal and Birthday Suit. I have Fandago Purple which is a deep orchid pink with a strong blue undertone that reminds me somewhat of MAC's Heroine Lipstick. I also have Brink Pink which is the brightest pink you can imagine, it is very like MAC's Pink Pigeon only a little more neon but a decent enough alternative none the less.

Much like the earlier mentioned lip creams I don't fully dub these to be matte as they do have a light sheen which does subside after half an hour or so. I highly recommend Sleek Make-Up Matte Me Lip Creams for those who want to try out soft matte lips without the drying factor that many matte lip products tend to go hand in hand with. On the lips Sleek's Matte Me Up's feel soft, light yet offer intense fully opaque coverage which is laden with pigment. As I have only tried out two of the deeper shades within the range my input may not reflect the lighter shades but in terms of wear I found both shades to wear true and bold for around 3 hours (without eating or drinking) before they began to fade to a lighter stain. For a long lasting bold matte lip that does not flake or bleed and costs less than £5 you really will be hard pushed to find anything better than the Sleek Make-Up Matte Me Lip Creams and that is a fact.
