Yesterday I shared two of Sleek Make-Up's Matte Me Lip Creams - review link but if you are more of a gloss fan than perhaps Sleek Make-Up's Gloss Me Lip Glosses are more to your taste which will launch on the 31st of July for a mere £4.99 each!
The packaging for the Sleek Make-Up Gloss Me Lip Gloss is identical to that of the Matte Me Lip Creams of course my view remains the same in that I am not the biggest fan as it does look and feel a little cheap and very young but given the price point I guess something has to give. The Sleek Make-Up Gloss Me Lip Glosses come presented within a typical lip gloss style tube with a doe foot applicator which works well enough but in my opinion I find brush applicators best when it comes to gloss. Despite looking a tad on the cheap side I do have to commend the transparent packaging as it allows you to easily view the shade held within.
Much like the lip creams there will be six shades in total: Fools Gold, Rosé, Bella of the ball, Kiss & Tell, So Berry and Cranberry Crush as they are glosses and offer semi-sheer coverage I would say that the majority of shades are wearable by all. I was kindly sent two shades to review - Rosé which is a bright mid toned pink with a strong yellow undertone and an almost metallic type finish. I have to be blunt and say that this is the kind of shade you find attached to teen magazines. The other shade I have is Kiss & Tell which is a bright fire engine red that is cool in tone and in selected lights you can see the blue tone in the shimmer particles.

First of all I apologise that there is no lip swatches with the flash, my lips are still a mess and the constant wiping off lip products for photos isn't really helping...I know boo hoo poor me haha! I will add flash lip swatches as soon as my lips heal I promise. As much as I like the Sleek Make- Up Matte Me Lip Creams I have to be honest and say that I deem the Sleek Make-Up Gloss Me Lip Glosses to be a complete skip. They feel and look cheap in terms of colour and formula - the formula is sticky and the shades are dated...well the two that I tested out anyway. Sleek Make-Up do many make-up products better than other high street brands, their blushes are in a league of their own but sadly this lip gloss line is not up to scratch. Yes the two shades I tested are pigmented but they are uncomfortable to wear and not at all what I have come to expect from Sleek Make-Up! In terms of wear as this is a fairly thick, sticky formula it wore for around two hours which is a little longer than most lip gloss products which is the only up side.
Sleek Make-Up Gloss Me Lip Glosses* £4.99/6ml and will launch via Superdrug and Sleek Make-up on the 31st of July.
* PR Samples sent for consideration of review.
Random Fact - According to a British law passed in 1845,suicide is a very serious crime, death sentence of hanging is the punishment...eh?
The red one is lovely, which is off because I hate gloss. Maybe this will change my mind?
