Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Special Edition EDT

Associating myself with Nicki Minaj has never been top on my list of priorities, truthfully I just don't get her at all and over rated but I will say that the Nicki Minaj perfume line is a force to be recognised with if you like myself like sweet fruity based scents...

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Special Edition EDT

When the original Pink Friday fragrance launched this March, and was hailed as the most successful celebrity fragrance launch ever by Boots and The Perfume Shop coming only 3rd to Chanel No.5 and Coco Mademoiselle, in the entire fragrance market. Pretty impressive by any standard.
The new and Special Edition of Pink Friday is dinkier this time around at 30ml, almost palm size which may come as a relief to some as the original bottle was some what bulky. I'm afraid at the moment all I have is a lab sample which is just a plain 15ml spray bottle that allows me to test the scent so I haven't actually saw the new bottle design in person but going from the above press image it is rather funky. A Nicki Minaj shaped bust that is decked in a white wig with a matching bodice which along with the other editions will take pride of place in any collection.

Okay on to what you all came to hear about the scent itself! Pink Friday Special Edition EDT is a Floral Fruity Gourmand with a good few fruity notes such as white raspberry, water lily and caramelized pear combined with top notes of grapefruit, apple and raspberry and to ensure it has lasting power the scent does have base notes of caramel and musk. It pains me to say that as much as I am not a fan of Ms Minaj I utterly adore the scent...argh! It is light and one of the most feminine fragrances I have tested in a long while. It will remind you of all things pink - bubblegum, candyfloss and cupcakes yet manages to be uplifting and fruity. If you are a fan of Britney Spears Fantasy I can 100% guarantee that you will lap this up.

At the moment Pink Friday Special Edition* is exclusive to The Perfume Shop £23.50/30ml - link
but will be elsewhere this coming July.
* PR Sample sent for consideration of review.
