New Barry M Gelly Paints Summer 2013

If you are a fan of Barry M's Gelly Nail Paints then you can rejoice as five new shades will be hitting counters this coming June which will be upon us before we know it.
Yes I've spoken about the Gelly range before but that is only because I rate the formula so highly!
Much like before I have once again found the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints to be very easy to apply with great narrow brushes coupled with a formula that is fault free (non-streaking nor patchy), all the while drying quickly too. You honestly would be forgiven for thinking that the Barry M Gelly formula belonged to a far more pricey brand.

All of the swatches show two coats of each polish which as I stated did dry fairly quickly and as you can see settles to a high sheen finish much like those of a gel polish (hence the name Gelly) so there is no need for a glossy topcoat other than to prolong wear.

Key Lime (Lime Green) - A bright yellow based green, rather similar to Estee Lauder's Absinthe nail polish only costing a fraction of the price, a great bargain!

Guava (Teal) - Not teal in the slightest but a bright turquoise, in fact this may be identical to Barry M's Nail Paint in turquoise only with a high glossy finish.

Passion Fruit (Pink/Red) - I adore this shade, it is not a red yet not pink either somewhere slap bang in the middle. I have nothing like it in my stash and deem this to be the must have shade from the five new additions.

Blue Grape (Cobalt Blue) - Initially I thought this may be a great dupe for the likes of Nails Inc Baker St but although my photos show it to be rather similar in tone please be warned that in reality it is a smidgen deeper and more navy based.

Mango (Orange) - I have nothing to say other than this is a great bright and yellow based orange shade that is surprisingly flattering and a good shade for a pedicure come sandal season!

On the whole I have to give the five new shades of Barry M's Gelly Nail Paint a huge thumbs up (pinkie, index and all other digits too!), okay Blue Grape does fall a little short of my exceptions but the other four are bright and summer appropriate shades.
Let's be honest £3.99 for a high glossy, gel look polish is not bad at all and in my experience (sloppy swatches aside) they apply and wear rather well too.

Again all five shades will hit Superdrug June 5th & Boots June 12th for £3.99 each.*
