Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Pond

I will be blunt and state that I never and I mean never purchase loose powder products other than face powders and even then I do it begrudgingly  Why? Well they are messy and as someone who often leaves a trail of destruction in her wake (just call me hurricane Adrienne) pressed products just seem like the wiser choice. That being said I am missing out on many a great product with my fear of loose powders with great brands like i.d Bare Minerals.

Speaking of mess to i.d Bare Minerals credit they have packaged their products to minimise fuss with a small screw top jar complete with a sifter so the product doesn't spill everywhere. It's a great size for travel yet contains 0.57g of product which may not sound like a lot but it really is. If you ask me even with daily use you are talking at least a year or so before you will even make a dent in the weight/volume.

I couldn't count how many loose mineral eyeshadows Bare Minerals offer there really is countless options but I have pond which is a matte sage green, not quite a bright green but not a pastel either and yet it almost veers on turquoise  Admittedly it is not a shade I would wear all over the lid but I would and have wore it lightly blended along the lower lash line for a little pop of colour. Teamed with lashings of black mascara and eye liner it is rather striking. You can also mix a little of the loose eyeshadow with water or a mixing medium to create an eyeliner. Either way there is not an issue with colour payoff.

Being a loose powder Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Pond is beyond soft to the touch and is of course a little prone to fall out when applying, I find if you tip your head back and press the eyeshadow on initially before blending out it minimises the mess.
Speaking of blending out Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Pond does so with ease and can be buffered out to a soft finish or layered/foiled on for an vibrant intense look without caking or turning chalky.
In terms of wear as long as it is primed I have found that Bare Minerals Eyeshadows tend to stay in place until you decide to remove them even on my oily lids.
