Essie Resort Collection 2013

Essie Resort 2013 is finally available with five resort inspired shades being British I'm not entirely sure what resort inspired means but with shades this pretty who honestly cares.
The bad news is that unlike the majority of Essie collections this is not being stocked in Boots but in select salons and beauty stockists if like myself you have no local stockist I suggest hitting up eBay - cheaper and delivered to your door what's not to like?

Anyway here is a quick run down of the four shades I have from Essie Resort 2013 in miniature form:

In the Cab-ana - A mid toned blue that is bright and perfect for the summer. This shade applied beautifully with two coats and no streaks. One of my summer picks.

Come Here - A typical bright coral red offering, nothing new and most beauty addicts will have something similar if not identical. This shade required three coats to become opaque. Skip.

First Timer - Green shades are so difficult to get right but I think Essie have nailed it (no pun intended...okay a little) with First Timer. The perfect middle ground green shades that is fresh and bright making it a wonderful spring into summer cross over shade. This applied wonderfully and was fully opaque in two glossy coats. My must have from the collective.

Under Where? - Between us gals I hate the shade lilac always have, always will, so it will come as little surprise that I loathe this shade. Personality clashes aside formula wise this was the weakest of the bunch and required four coats to become fully opaque.

Like most polish collections I doubt you are meant to adore each and every shade but on the whole I do think it is a winner.

I bought my little quad of Essie miniatures from eBay for just over £10 which has since sold out but you can pick and choose between full sized bottles for just over £3 each -link.
