Newly launching on the 8th of May is Sleek Make Up's newest venture Lip4 Palettes.
All in there will be 6 variations to collect :Tease, Ballet, Show Girl, Siren and Mardi Gras will be available in selected Superdrug stores with Mardi Gras being limited edition and Havana being an online exclusive.
The idea is that each palette contains four carefully selected complimentary shades that come in a range of 3 formula's :matte, gloss and satin so you have a range of lip shades to suit your mood or circumstance - a lip wardrobe if you will and also to allow you to mix the shades together to form your own custom shade.
I was sent Showgirl which is your quintessential bright pink palette and Tease which is jam packed with red shades. Each shade is individually named which I rather enjoy and although neither palette is really to my taste in terms of colour choices I do have to admit that the shades work well worn alone and also mix well too.
Showgirl
- Vegas - Bright candy pink
- Lola - Deep purple toned berry pink
- Dancer - Light Barbie type pink
- Jewel - Brightest pink, almost neon.
Tease
- Spotlight - True classic blue based red
- Show Off - Bright Coral red
- Dita - Pinky red
- Paris - Bright true red
Sadly I can not say I am a fan of the Lip4 palettes as there is no way of differentiating between the satin or matte formulas both of which aren't all that greatly pigmented and feel drying on the lips.
The gloss formulation is very, very soft which you can see from the photo above and slips and slides all over the lips albeit with a beautiful glossy finish. A great idea but one that needs a little tweaking before it will replace my usual hoard of lipsticks at the bottom of my bag.
As mentioned above the Sleek Make Up Lip4 Palettes will launch on May the 8th and retail for £8.99 each*.

It's a shame the formulas aren't great, because the colours are lovely! Hopefully they'll improve :)
ReplyDeleteThese look great and i am excited to give these a try. Very handy for travelling, although i must admit that i would be staying clear of the darker colours because i'm not brave enough to go out with it and also i'm scared that it will go everywhere due to it's creamy formulation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing though~ The swatches are helpful
Have a lovely day <3

ReplyDeleteThe red shades are definitely for me, I need to check them out as I quite like soft formulas and then I just set them, wish they were better quality though

The colour range looks great but i just hate lipstick pallets. I always seem to get in a mess with them, such a shame.

Hi lovely - regardless of the soft and annoyingly disappointing formula, I will definitely be purchasing one of these little palettes, they look to die for on your lips! Don't you think? So glossy and the colours look amazing.. I love 'Paris' in the 'Tease' palette.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, lots of love : ) ❤
