Happy Mothers Day to all the Mama's, Mama's to be, Grandmothers and every female care giver out there.
As a little nod to Mothering Sunday I have decided to crack open a kit that I was gifted by Maclaren for their Beginning range.

Beginning is a collection of products that cater to both the mother's and baby needs be they a mother to be or a frazzled mummy in need of some pampering. Don't let that put you off as I have no children nor any immediate plans to procreate and thoroughly enjoy the brand.

Tonight both me and my Mother dearest have been trailing out the Beginning Travel Kit for Mothers and came to agreement that we sincerely hope Maclaren launch a good few of these products in full size.
As I don't have a bath I passed on the Nurturing Bath Milk to my mum to try out and I have to say I am a little jealous as the scent is divine - natural but slightly citrusy. Add a few drops to warm, running water and watch the oil substance transform into a soothing emulsion that helps aid a relaxed state of mind and is best used before bed as it will leave you feeling rather sleepy and blissed out.

Not one to be beat I trialed the Purifying Bath and Shower Elixir which is some what akin to a shower oil - a thick oily based substance that softens the skin all the while cleansing that again has a natural but slightly citrus tinged scent. If this came in a full size bottle I would happily snap up one as it could give L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil a run for it's money!

As neither of us have a bun in the oven (thank god for that the idea of my mum pregnant again would freak me out) we decided that the best way to use the Supporting Belly Balm would be as a hand cream as the pot is pretty tiny. This thick balm like cream is packed with ultra moisturising ingredients including shea butter that help to soothe and soften the skin. Although perfectly wonderful for the intended use (to prevent stretch marks) we agree that used on ultra dry areas such as the heels and elbows would be a great way to turn this product into a multi-purpose balm.

My utter favourite product from the entire set which has now found a permanent place within my make-up bag is the Balancing Facial Mist, this geranium scented mist lightly hydrates, cools and soothes the skin in one step without removing make-up. An utter must have for anyone and everyone and the one product you will wish you had come the balmy weather.

Speaking of favourites old mother hen highly rates the Alleviating Leg Lotion which has been created to revive and refresh legs which I have been assured is something any pregnant lady will appreciate.
However if you spend the day on your feet and find that you come home to achy tired legs this is the product for you. It cools the skin and combined with the gentle massaging motions it boosts circulation.
The kit also includes a massage oil but as we aren't that kinda family (can you hear the banjo playing?) we decided against trying it out.

All in all a great arrangement of products that most of us could happily use be you with child or not.
