Do you call when Maybelline launched their smoky eye pencils and mascara?
Well if like myself you found said products to be a little disappointing then you may want to give the brand a second chance in the smoky eye department all in the name of the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Timeless Black.
The packaging of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hour eyeshadows is very akin to the Mac Paint Pots - transparent thick jar with a screw on black lid.
I'm not entirely sure if the jar is plastic or glass but either way it is sturdy and does the job
just ensure you keep the lid firmly screwed on in order to not allow the product to dry out.
I do think the packaging is misleading as the base acts like a magnifying glass,
giving the illusion that there is more product than the 4g's...sneaky!
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Timeless Black is of course a true classic black that can pull slightly grey in some lights and in my opinion it is the most diverse and multi-function shade out of the entire Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow line up.
With Timeless Black you not only have a cream eyeshadow but also a liner and a base for applying powder product upon should you wish.
Personally I like to dub it my all in one smoky eye product in a jar as the creamy, gel like texture allows you to create all out rocker star worth smoky eyes with next to no effort.
You can apply Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Timeless Black with your fingertips or a brush depending on the precision you require.
If you buy one shade from the Color Tattoo line up let it be Timeless Black it won't let you down.
The Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadows share more than packaging in common with Mac Paint Pots!
The formula is also very similar - a solid cream eyeshadow that melts with contact of the skin.
Personally I use this kind of product as an eyeshadow base but they can be utilized
as an all over wash of colour, an eye liner and of course as a base as I mentioned...not bad for £5!
In the past I wore the formula for 12 around hours (nowadays I'm lucky if I wear make-up for longer than 8 hours) before I experienced any creasing,
the idea of wearing make-up for 24 hours is not appealing to me but I do want to stress that the Maybelline Color Tattoos are very long wearing all the while being light and comfortable on the skin and a great pocket friendly alternative to Mac Paint Pots not to mention they do have a good shade range too!
The new Light in Purple shade by Maybelline has yet to creep online but I have seen slots (albeit empty)
for it at most Maybelline stands, £4.99/4g
This indeed looks like a nice smokey eye base! I hope this is as long wearing as the other because it would be a shame if this creases!
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for doing a smokey eyes I have about four of the colours and really like them xxx

I have Metallic Pomegranate and Permanent Taupe and LOVE both of them! I usually blend a brown eyeshadow into my crease to make more of a smoky eye. This colour looks amazing too might have to try it! xx
