Unlike most of my reviews this will be short and sweet as I can not differentiate all that much of a difference between L'Oreal's Nude Magique BB Cream and their new L'Oreal Nude Magique Anti-Dullness CC Cream, wither this is true for all of their new CC Creams I can't possibly comment.
You can read my L'Oreal's Nude Magique BB Cream review here - link.
Basically much like the BB version of L'Oreal Nude Magique Anti-Dullness CC Cream this has a light, loose and very runny liquid texture which doesn't really hinder application in any way but of course with such a runny texture the coverage is sheer.
So much so that I wouldn't even deem the coverage to be on par with a tinted moisturiser but L'Oreal do claim that is product is aimed at giving you the perfect nude look so it's not like they promise full coverage.
I just feel it is important to point out how sheer the coverage is so that anyone who gets caught up in the CC isn't left disappointed.
If you like super sheer coverage this is for you otherwise leave well alone.
To L'Oreal's credit their new L'Oreal Nude Magique Anti-Dullness CC Cream does really perk up and brighten the skin, it removes any traces of sallow tones and is perfect for those like myself who can often find their complexion a little dull. I find using this before applying my foundation really perks up my skin tone without feeling heavy, yes it is a bit of a faff applying two bases but the end result is worth it as it brightens without the need of a shimmer element just a light dewy finish.
My other niggle with this product is that one shade suits all - not true at all, this product is pretty orange/yellow based to counteract the sallow tones of dull skin and on fair skintones I do fear some may find it too orange. In my opinion this option is best suited to light - medium skin tones but wrong for fair and deep complexions.
Truthfully L'Oreal Nude Magique Anti-Dullness CC Cream falls short of the mark and in my opinion is just another westernised BB Cream, having tried the likes of Clinique's CC Cream I can safely say this one is not on par with such formula and doesn't live up to my exceptions of what I have come to expect from a CC Cream formula.

Have you tried any of L'Oreal's CC Creams? If so what are your thoughts?
Bit of a shame that it's pretty much exactly the same as the BB Cream! Still might use it in the way you do though for brightness :) xx

I've just ordered the anti-fatigue version of this as I was intigued to try a CC cream, having been completely disappointed with BBs (not that I tried the L'oreal one). I did do a bit of research beforehand and was quite impressed by the difference the anti-redness one seemed to make, but as it's not a concern of mine I've gone for a different option. I didn't expect much coverage, to be honest, and was planning on wearing it on those minimal makeup days, possibly under a tinted moisturiser depending on how it looks.
ReplyDeleteI've really liked the other Nude Magique and Lumi Magique products I've tried from L'oreal, so fingers crossed - I just hope there's none of the greyness that tends to come with BBs.

I'm so glad someone reviewed this. I'd seen it in boots and thought it was worth a go but I'll probably give it a miss now xx

ReplyDeleteIve just recently bought this and the anti redness one and im quite happy with it, especially the anti redness one, that works very well. I bought this for my daytime make up trying to improve my skin. I agree tho there should be more shades available xx

Thanks for the review! I was unsure about purchasing this, it's a shame it doesn't really live up to the CC hype. I might try the Clinique one!
ReplyDeleteI tried the green coloured one for this, omg it was so strange, it started out green then turned into a olive shade then left my skin bright orange!

I bought the anti-redness one. The first time I used it I was so impressed with the results. I haven't had much luck with further uses because if I don't use it properly I end up making it look patchy and uneven (by not using enough) or I look like a tangerine! (using too much) it's soo frustrating and annoying as I was so excited for these to come out and bought it as soon as it did. :(
