L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream

This is my first foray into BB Cream's, the reason I have let the trend float on by
is due to the fact that the majority of BB Creams's provide little more coverage than
a bog standard tinted moisturiser and I prefer a higher coverage from my base.
Anyway I have been taking much better care of my skin and don't really require much coverage
so I thought now would be the time to dip a toe (eww) into the BB Cream pond!

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream is designed to recreate the texture and glow of perfect nude skin,
it is aimed to be feather light on the skin and has smart pigmentation capsules that correct tone,
cover imperfections and refines the skin texture.
It also promises 24hour hydration with an SPF 12.

My first thoughts once I got over the fact that the BB Cream was chalk white with purple pearls
is that it is rather runny and loose in texture, it is however scent free and does feel lightweight.
The L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream has two shade selections - light and medium
I went for the latter thinking it would be the best option but it is a little too light
and grey in tone so not really a flattering shade at all.
I really feel for deeper skin tones as it seems the high street brands don't want to offer a deep version,
which is disappointing not to mention a little discriminative!

On the face it does live up to the hydration aspect but I did not find it to last the promised 24hours

as after around 8 hours in my skin felt a little tight and uncomfortable.
The coverage is non-existent, it is not even on par with a decent tinted moisturiser.
To be able to wear this as a base you would already need photo perfect skin
with not as much as a tiny flaw and how many can say they have that?
My plan was to use this for weekends away or on holiday so I could let my skin breathe
but sadly this BB Cream is not the one for me.

All this being said I am not off put by the BB Cream craze and will test a few more in
the hopes of finding a great one that allows me to banish heavy foundations for a day or two each week.

Do you use BB Creams? If so what one?

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream costs £9.99 and is available from selected stockists.
