Today's post may have the most menacing title I have ever given a post?
Embrace it, nothing wrong with a little misplaced anger every now and then...only kidding!
Sunday is normally the day I kick back and have a little pampering session but frankly this week I can not be bothered (new level of low and laziness right there) and will spend my evening with a hair dye slapped
on my head, a magazine and if i'm feeling super fancy I may just light a candle.
Laziness aside I thought this weeks pampering post would be a great opportunity to share my favourite masks that I rely on an almost weekly basis, sure I have oily skin but I like to think all three masks I'm about to ramble on about have their uses in everyone's skin care stash?
#1 Origins Clear Improvement Mask £20 via Origins - link
Regardless of if you suffer from enlarged or clogged pores everyone should give Origins Clear Improvement Mask a go at some point or other as it is a deep cleansing mask that works to clear and flush out any environmental pollutants, dirt and/or debris that can get trapped under your skin.
Origins Clear Improvement Mask uses a waste-filtering system that clears pores that may have become clogged preventing skin from looking dull.
I've only been using this for a little over a month, once a week and can vouch that my pores appear less clogged and in turn look smaller not to mention with every application my skin is left looking fresh
with a healthy glow.
#2 Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Facial Peel Mask currently £6 via Boots - link
Much like the mask above this works to de-clog blocked pores but I'd go a step further and say that with
regular use (one-twice a week) this helps fight not only excess oil but also blemishes and once more is
truly deep cleansing leaving the skin feeling fresh after each use.
This is the mask I reach for when plagued with a few hormonal blemishes and as an express t-zone treatment, budget in price but a powerful oil and blemish buster!
#3 REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask £30 via REN - link
The newest addition to my mask line up but no less one of the most important additions to my skin care stash. REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is a potent bio active peel mask that has been designed to renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve skin tone.
I can not stress enough how this mask improves the skin tone, disgustingly I like to pick and squeeze my blemishes and over the years it has left me with little red scars as a permanent reminder.
Yet with a weekly application of this mask I have seen a rapid improvement with some scars disappearing to the naked eye, I say forgo all the dark spot lotions and potions the UK market is determined to ram down or throats and give this a go, the results are far more impressive!
Ah, I hate the Soap and Glory mask (although I still use it because I'm tight!) I always feel like I smell like bathroom cleaner when I have it on! It does work though, so I'll give it that. Grudgingly.
ReplyDeleteGreat review however this winter my skin has been very dry, so I'm on the hunt for nourishing masks.

I love the REN mask, you can see a difference in just a few uses! I've just got the aesop parsley seed mask but I've only used it once so need to see how I get on :) x
ReplyDeleteThe glycolactic mask is just amazing, brilliant for acne scars and keeping your pores clear. Love it! x

I used to use that Soap and Glory one, I had forgotten about that! I got the massive Soap and Glory bag for Christmas, may see if it is in there. Really want to try Origins too though!
ReplyDeleteOrigins clay mask is fabulous. Not a fan of Soap and Glory Fab Pore because it contains parabens.
ReplyDeleteLove Soap and Glory, I really want to try this mask! xo

My skin has so many little imperfections I will definitely have to put the REN mask on my wish list! Discovered your blog this weekend and I have to say I'm addicted, reading all your old posts! Wonderful and honest writing, and gave me that final little push to start my own!

The REN mask sounds so good, I have horrible reminders of past blemishes which I must attend to! If it really is a miracle worker then I may consider paying the £30 for it.
ReplyDeleteI've heard tons of good reviews on the Clarisonic for similar problems, have you tried one?
