With my constant harping on about how wonderful shower oil can be I thought it was about time I found something a little more purse friendly than my beloved L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil.
Being the beauty junkie that I am I actually have a few alternatives some of which I am currently testing out but I have decided to share one that if you play your cards right you can snatch up for a measly £5!
Yes £5 (actually £4.95 but a fiver sounds better) for a huge 200ml bottle of sheer shower indulgence.
Now here is where I have to come in with a disclaimer and state that to get it for the bargain basement price you will have to use a £5 off No.7 voucher but let's be frank they are hardly scarce, it feels like they appear on a monthly basis at the very least?
If you aren't used to shower oils you may be left a little disappointed by how little foam/bubbles if you will produces No.7 Luxurious Foaming Shower Oil.
The reason being that shower oils don't really foam - high end, low end and all that is in between, they will not sud up like a typical shower gel rather the oil will turn into a milky emulsion as soon as water comes into contact.
Scent wise disappointingly there isn't much of anything to really mention, at a push it has a very light floral
yet clean scent which may be ideal for those who dislike heavily scented products but for myself I need a little more power in terms of fragrance.
However it is hypo-allergenic so that may well be the cause but at least even the most sensitive skin types
can use it in good confidence.
Ignoring the little scent niggle the formula does leave the skin super soft without being greasy or leaving any tacky residue behind, if like myself you are not the best at slathering on a body butter this the perfect lazy gals way to take care of those pesky dry areas due a blend of oils including Argan and Grapeseed.

I bought this with one of my many No7 vouchers too. Although I still prefer the L'occitane almond shower oil, for a fiver I'm not complaining it's decent. :) x
ReplyDeletethis sounds perfect for me i hate using loads of body butter, and sounds like the scent is great!:)

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I love l'occitan's almond shower oil but it's pretty expensive. Is this anywhere near as good?
