Little ol' previously plagued by blemishes me has been able to wear tinted moisturiser for the first time in
a long while thanks to the super power that is La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo has been creating waves in the beauty world for quite some time
and admittedly I did initially pawn it off as the latest fad to soon disappear into the great unknown
by some other wonder product...us beauty worshipers are a fickle bunch.
Well not La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo the hype just keeps getting louder, it looks to be going no-where
fast in 2013 and very rightly so as it is a complete skin savior!
Unlike other blemish, pore and oil busters La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is the whole package,
it not only unclogs and purifies the pores preventing future breakouts from appearing but it also
reduces the size of existing blemishes, rids the skin of dead skin cells, all the while leaving the skin softer, clearer and improving the overall texture of the skin.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is a light textured gel like treatment that can be used both day and night
or whenever you see fit i.e to calm and rid the skin of a breakout.
As it has a light consistency it can be a little slippery not so much so that you can't use it as base before make-up but do give it a few moments to sink into the skin before proceeding.
For those like myself who are prone to the odd blemish this will be the closest thing to a miracle worker
that you will find on the high street, blemishes will become a thing of the past and you will notice reduced
excess sebum production but for those with acne or severe breakouts I don't think this will be of any help.
As someone with oily skin I haven't found this to be drying but others have reported that it has dried
their skin out over time but if you are plagued but hormonal blemishes I say give it a go,
what do you have to loose?
In a nut shell blemish prone skin types you will create an alter to this little wonder product
and wonder why you waited around to trial it in the first place.

ReplyDeleteIt's my the best rescuer skin product!
I've been using this since Christmas and its given me more spots!! Very upsetting!
ReplyDeleteOh no :( I'm so sorry to hear that. Was it a reaction?
DeleteI am actually using this product at the moment and really like it. I think I will post a review soon. So great to see a fantastic Scottish blogger x
ReplyDeleteI have just ordered this and I am beyond excited to try it myself!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first review I've actually read about this, it sounds really good, although I don't have oily skin so I would be worried about it drying my skin out. My skin needs all the moisture it can get just now! x
ReplyDeleteWant to try this! xx
ReplyDeletei've heard nothing but good things about this product, but i can't get my hands on it anywhere! it's literally out of stock everywhere i go ):
ReplyDeleteL x
I've tried it! For two times and now it's being the third. I try new products, but always go back to it and to Bioderma Pore refiner :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard great things about this so it's definitely going on my 'want' list!
ReplyDeleteDo you wear it under moisturiser or just on it's own?

You can do either or :) I skip moisturiser in the morning but use it under a night cream.
DeleteThanks for the reply - Definitely heading out to get this today!

I really think I'm going to buy this tomorrow, if it's in my Boots! I've heard too many good things now, I need to see it for myself! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm awaiting mine in the post :) I have high hopes!! x

I used it too with other LRP products (I have acne and the scars dont heal - I guess its hormonal cuz birth control pills made my skin perfect in the past). It helped a LITTLE but thats it. I was a bit disappointed. If there is something that really helped is aloe vera. Seriously. everything else: creams, toners, tea tree etc made no difference.
ReplyDeleteMy skin seems to have got worse with blemishes throughout my twenties and have tried many products to calm blemishes down. I recently bought this and have to say i think it's a keeper :)

This upset my skin too, used it for 3 days and my skin went all bumpy with some quite angry looking spots too, and my skins been clear for years...maybe for some its like a purging thing where it unclogs and brings to the surface then its fine after...?
ReplyDeleteif this helps with pore reduction I definitely want to try it!

ReplyDeleteGod this sounds amazing! Definitely a trip to boots or a online shop at escentuals sooon...

Still undecided on this one, it does help spots clear up quicker but hasn't really improved my skin in any other way like i was expecting from the hype!
ReplyDeletethegildedwardrobe.blogspot.co.uk
How do you apply it? All over the skin or only in the spots? I think i am using it in a wrong way it makes my skin burn and irritates it i had to remove it twice because my eyes were watering and my skin was super red... Please reply! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI just apply it to my problem areas, rather than all over and stay clear of my eye area. I hope that helps :)
DeleteBrunaa, i just had the same issue. Used it for the very first time, only on my problem areas and for 15 minutes my face has been burning (not stingy, really burning) I'm not sure what went wrong! I didn't apply that much, very disapointing. And i normally don't have really sensitive skin.
DeleteSo after the issue occured, did a blog search on this product and it seems like most people are so happy about this product
I'll try again but so far it wasn't really good :(
Hi Adrienne!
ReplyDeleteJust wondered if you'd tried out the rest of the range? I've just had a LRP 'splurge' - I say splurge but it's so much cheaper than the range I normally use (Manuka Doctor) and it sounds like this product is quite the miracle worker. I love the cleanser too so gambled and bought it all....
