I am a little disappointed that the weather man predicted a light dusting of snow for my region of the UK
and yet I have awoken to rain!
In a bid to take my mind off of my disappointment I decided to sort out my make-up bag for the impending week ahead and would like to share this weeks picks with you all!
FACE
MAC MSF in Light Year (L.E)
Other than Stereo Rose I was more than a little disappointed with MAC's first mineralize collection for 2013,
I hoping the huge collection that normally launches in July makes up for the first launch!
I adore Light Year but as it was an limited edition I have to ration my usage or scout eBay for a replacement
and we all know that will cost an arm and a leg!
NARS Deep Throat Blush £21 via NARS - link
Deep Throat is a light yellow shell pink that never fails to give a natural yet radiant flush to my skin,
it is a little lighter than the shades I normally sport but with Spring on the horizon this is the perfect
transitional shade before we are inundated with next seasons pastels.
Jouer Lumizing Moisture Tint £15 for pack of four via Cult Beauty* - link
Taking care of my skin and eating better not to mention ensuring I drink plenty of water has really paid
off and I can finally wear tinted moisturiser without a care in the world!
Jouer's offering gives my skin a beautiful natural finish but also luminates resulting in dull skin
being a thing of the past.
EYES
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette £20 via Debenhams - link
This dinky little palette has now been featured two weeks in a row which in any other situation would
hint that my thoughts and feelings towards the palette are nothing but positive...wrong!
I am a huge lover of neutral shades in all elements of make-up but myself and this palette just don't get on,
I'm often left uninspired by it and despite having at arms reach I will go out of my way to avoid using it.
If it gets no love this week in a blog sale it will have to go.
Elizabeth Arden Heathered Plums Duo £22 via Debenhams* - link
My thought process is that perhaps adding a little colour that I am comfortable with and mixing it up
with the Urban Decay Basics palette that I will find a combination that will make me reach for
said palette more often...a girl can dream but I feel i'm flogging a dead horse.
LIPS
MAC Haute Altitude Lipstick £14 - L.E and sold out online but check your local store.
This is my current go to lipstick, it's the perfect pink with a hint of brown that results it being
super easy to wear not to mention it goes with any make-up look.
I could kick myself for not buying a back-up, when will I learn?
Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon £5 via Boots - link
It has been a while since I slicked on a Revlon Lip Butter and by far one of my favourite shades
has to be Macaroon, it is a typical me shade a pinky brown blend combined with a buttery soft
texture makes it a non brainer for me.
When I visit the states later this year I will be picking up all the shades that did not make it to this side
of the Atlantic and praying the whole time that Revlon launch new shades too!
MISC
Theirry Mugler's Womanity £50/50ml via House of Fraser - link
I have decided to become one of those ladies that totes around everything in her handbag for those just in-case moments, sure i'll have a heavy bag but at least I will be prepared.
Sneaking it's way into my make-up bag this week is Theirry Mugler's Womanity miniature,
there was a time I loathed this scent but now I really appreciate how androgynous this scent can be.
A full size bottle will be on the horizon come pay day!

ReplyDeleteThe MAC Msf and Elizabeth Arden duo look gorgeous! I really want to try out NARS' blush in Deep Throat this year, currently using Orgasm which I love but Deep Throat is firmly on the "to try" list xx

Mac msf in by candlelight was my fave before i bought light year, its gorgeous. I get revlon lipbutter in creamsicle from the states via e bay because for some reason its not been launched here.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the Basics palette, I feel like you need to use one of the other Naked palettes to create a nice look. Its great for a highlight shade, blending out or darkening up the crease but on its own a bit meh for want of a better word. X
ReplyDeleteOooh, also a big Womanity fan which is unusual as I tend to lean towards woody scents at the moment. I'm a NARS fan too (Orgasm blush) but I now want to try out Deep Throat!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks this week! I love Deep Throat, and I'm really wanting the Naked Basics palette :)
ReplyDeleteI love deep throat and light year msf, both wonderful :)

Love your makeup bag!
ReplyDeleteI'm yet to try Nars blushers, do you think they make your skin breakout? I've heard different comments. Which one is good for paler skin? Orgasm or deep throat?
