When it comes to the Spring and Summer seasons I tend to ditch make-up that is heavy in formula
and seek out lighter, sheerer textures but for my lips that is easier said than done as I am no advocate
of lipgloss.
Luckily for me Clarins have just launched two new shades of their much loved Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Lipsticks which already had a huge shade variety to begin with so you will be hard pressed not
to find a shade to suit your tastes.

Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Lipsticks are the perfect blend of pigment, moisture and sheen
all presented within one sleek and sophisticated silver case.
The Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine formula is light yet has a decent amount of pigmentation,
coupled with the hydration of a good quality balm and finished with the sheen of a gloss yet non tacky texture or slip that gloss products often go hand in hand with.
In terms of wear I find the Joli Rouge formula to last around three hours before fading,
the one fault I do find with this particular lipstick is that it tends to gather and settle around my outer lips
giving a slight liner effect, I do want to stress that it far less noticeable in reality than on camera.

The two new shades are 17 Watermelon - a light orange based coral and a great shade to pick
up and cast aside for the upcoming Summer season and 18 Sweet Plum - a red tinged plum which is the perfect transition shade from winter into Spring.
Both shades have a slight shimmer effect which help give the illusion of plumper lips.
As both shades are sheer I do not foresee anyone experiencing any difficulties with the colour palette
as they work with your natural lip colour rather than against it resulting in a shade that is custom
to your lips.
